Six Flags over Georgia - It's Not Disney

- Today we are in Atlanta and visit Six Flags over Georgia to see how it compares to our local Disney parks in Orlando Florida. It’s a hot busy day but we soon discover that even on a Saturday we are not seeing crazy lines and most of the rides have a very short wait.
We ride several coasters including a B&M Hyper coaster, a flying coaster, a traditional woody and a Hybrid RMC for the first time.
At the end of the day, we will give you our honest appraisal of the park, is it value for money and how it compares to Disney.

Love how much fun you both have together! I'm 56 and my hubby is 57 and unfortunately, due to my back problems, I'm unable to ride coasters anymore. But we do still have fun when we travel around Florida and out of state. Such a joy you both are! ❤️
Why thanks you , it’s always easy to have fun when you hang out with your best buddy, with or without coasters
That's the way it is in the north east for maccy dees, all touch screen and a miniscule serving hatch, surprised it hasn't gone card only like tim hortons, another great video, and I'm still shouting at the screen when you and max try to get the sofa in on the intro lol😊
Lol, I left that in the intro as it’s part of our life earlier this year, I will do a refresh on the intro at the end of the year
Them lads at 9:15 should of give them a Lancashire slap baz 🤣
Lol, they were just having fun
Looks like a fun day for coaster people, so not me then really 😂 That dark ride was so weird, but still better that IASW at MK 😂
They do have a few good coasters there and not crazy wait times
Hi Guys
Another great vlog. All the McDonalds in the uk are changing over to the self service touch screens now as well.
Yes , the feedback I have been getting is that it's a global change
Looks as if you ended up having a pretty good day after a rocky start. Absolutely unbelievable about the AC! You poor guys can`t catch a break when it comes to the house! Hope it`s all been worked out by now!
Things are better now, but fair warning the next vlog will be a bit of a grim one
Evening guys for the cost and choice I think the park looks very good value, sorry to hear about the hotel horrors, keep safe Andy and Vonnie
We agree it’s good value for money
I completely agree with you, Six Flags is in a different market to Disney but their parks offer decent thrills for a fair price.
McDonalds in Bordeaux have touch screens on the street and a walk up window to collect! Not seen that before 😂
Oh very chic , only in France
@@ThemeParkBazza 😂😂
Definitely not Disney but really good to see other parks and what they have to offer… head bangers and back bangers indeed!! Nice to see your shooting skills were on point 😂
It’s a rare occasion I beat Max but when I do she knows about it …. for hours lol
lol on the van conversion comment!!
I have to get my digs i where I can lol
You would have been better off just watching old vids of SFOGa in the 70s and 80s for getting the "theme" of the park. Over Georgia is the second, with Texas being first, and the parks were split into 6 sections themed to the 6 flags that flew over each of the 2 states. The rides fit the theme of each section (for ex, Thunder River originally was Jean Ribaut's River Adventure, and was accordingly in the French section). Today, while there are many more coasters than in decades past, it's still just a shadow of its former self--sort of a cash grabbing split personality between Warner Bros and DC comics.
I grew up in Atlanta and had close family living there too. That was my first Six Flags Park. We always went in late April for my birthday, beginning at age 11. I believe the location was first called Fun Town, an area amusement and rides park, which we also went to on weekends. Eventually it became 6 Flags, and Fun Town was torn down. At least that's my memory but I haven't researched to be sure that's true about the changes. it was always fun for us.
It’s a nice little park, as you saw we did enjoy ourselves
@@ThemeParkBazza We really enjoyed the Dalongha Mine Train and the big white, wooden coaster! Hard to stay in your seat in that ride.
I looked it up. Funtown ruins were still there in the 90s; it wasn't at the 6 Flags Park area. The Mine train at 6 Flags opened in 1967 so that park was there fairly early as well. Also, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's Birmingham Jail speech talked about Funtown, in that he had to explain to his little girl why he couldn't take her to the public amusement park. I had no idea of that. I was under 10 when I went with my cousin and siblings.
Hi not having much luck with your A C hope it gets sorted out soon for you. Hope you enjoyed your holiday. Take care see you on your next one x
Thanks, you will find out more about the AC in the next vlog,on Friday
Oh that cheeky comment about Taylor. 😊
Ok , I think I missed that one ?
@@ThemeParkBazza Well Nick really about his van "Taylor's" windows 🤣
Oh yes, I forgot that was the van name :-)
We landed Friday in Orlando for our usual 3 week stay hope we get to bump into you and Max at the parks … so hot isn’t it 😊
It's still a but warmer than usual, but it's cooling off slowly. We will be out and about at the weekend as usual, not sure where yet
@@ThemeParkBazza ok 👍 off to animal kingdom for a bit then not so scary Halloween tonight 🎃
I was getting Shades of Blackpool pleasure Beach with the traditional style rides.
Yes , very similar to BPB in some of the rides
Great vlog as per... Don't moan about the bloody heat. It's hailstone here the size of golf balls here in Accrington.. It's like something off day after tomorrow. Lol.... 😂😂😂
Hope you don’t get any car damage with hailstones that big !
@@ThemeParkBazza ours is in the garage but caused carnage on the main roads. Traffic tailed back for miles. It's madness as 80 last week. I never believed in climate change but it's deffinatly a thing.
We went to one near Santa Barbara and another over the bridge from San Francisco. Not my scene as I am not a big roller coaster lover but Andy and our kids liked them
They do have a pretty solid coaster offering
Nick's conversion. Funny cruel!
Thank you , that’s my aim with comments for Nick lol
Hi Barry and max,you spoke about McDonald’s as you know I work for them in the uk the call them kiosks we have six of them and 1 till in my restaurant the seating area is called a lobby
Good to know thanks for the update
Sorry to hear about your hotel stay. I had a Pass since 2017, but did not renew this year. I could see things go down hill year after year in general. Great that you have passes for that price that gets you into all parks. Goliath is great, but only in the front row. Nick and Leigh's van. Lol. I know we have never met, but you're always welcome at our house if you're in the area. Jeff and I like drinks. Lol
Jeff as in Dosourdream Jeff ?
@@ThemeParkBazza No. And I'm not sure who that is. Lol
Just a Jeff I know in the area
@@ThemeParkBazza No. Just my Jeff here in GA.
Oh no the Air Con again 😬
Oh yes, more to come on that one
The Legends
Cheers, we appreciate that !
Supermanta! You missed that one Baz!
Man , I need to up my game to keep up with ya !
The Macdonalds have been automated as I call them in Bristol for a few years
It seems to be a global trend
Ac....What your kidding me 😮
Nope, let’s say the next vlog on Friday is not our usual jolly ones
That McDonald's remodeling has been in the UK for years now.
Actually prefer it.
It seems to be a global thing indeed
What is a euro coaster? At least that's what I think you said, when you said you and Mrs B don't do them. Thank you.
A Euro coasters is a bit like a wild mouse , one car with six riders that does sharp turns and drops and twists but goes upside down unlike the wild mouse
@@ThemeParkBazzaThey're called Gerstlauer Eurofighters I think
