I've been attending the MD RenFest for decades. While overall, the show i s still fun, they have slowly but surely found a way to suck most of the fun out of it in recent years. I really wish they would start it a month later, which is about the time that it generally becomes bearable to be outside in MD for more than a few minutes. It sells out now more than ever, and they charge higher prices for later in the season when they know the weather will be better. 🤬
The weather is definitely nicer the later in the season. We went early this year and it was brutal outside - hot and humid. I wonder if other ren fests factor into the timing?
I have a mapped out trajectory that I do every year at the Ranson festival when it comes to food and drink one time I did a pub crawl I was at oh shucks upfront and I was alone people if I could share their table because I was only me when another group came and when we all finished about the same time, they asked me if I wanted to come to the next place they were going to see it was another little pub that had a show and then they were going to the next one and invited me again as I was talking to. I ended up doing a pub crawl
@UnwrittenSpade that is very convenient to be so close, and i totally agree that it is amazing. I have only been to their pirate weekend, but they have something really cool going on every weekend.

That’s amazing! New experience and maybe new friends. Festivals are the perfect place for that.
I live about 1 minute up the road from the parking area, always go. Maryland ren fest is the absolute best
