Beautiful bike. It looks just like mine. I love the pearl white paint. I’m still enjoying the stock bike. Not sure when I’ll mod it. I love the rock solid reliability of the stock bikes.
Stock is hard to beat, there's something to say about a non modded grom now a days.
@@FRJohnny777 I’m especially reluctant to mod mine since it’s a 2024 Japan model. It looks exactly like the 2025 you got to play with. Great video by the way.
I been waiting forever to see a video w the new grom, glad its finally here. Sad they restricted the bore size but super cool with what they can do w what it has though 👍🏼
I was hoping they'd do something different with the engine but still the same restricted engine
I still have my 2015 grom got mine new in 2016 sucks it doesn’t have 5 gears tho,
Honestly I don't think it's that big of a concern. Maybe if you have a BBK but with the stock bore it's not that usable

Was looking at the grom to start learning to ride it for work anyway then later after learning upgrade to the z500
It's a great bike to learn on and an even better second bike to own as it's good to always have a mini in the garage
Cool now I can swap over that gas tank on my previous model grom and get some more range
It's the same size as the 22-24 models as the 25 model

Mine JUST got dropped today, the salesman who sold me on it had a brand new one he had fully stunted out and I was HYPE when I put the deposit down. Literally same day, I went home snagged the credit card and dropped as much as I could on it 🤣 if it weren’t for all the early releases, I don’t think it would sell as well as it does

Funny they use a safety upgrade like abs as a selling point that's a lil shady imo they should have a 150r grom by now they keep reselling the same 5speed engine when everybody knows the Lifan 150 is efi now and faster out the box and 2k cheaper and lasts just as long
I believe that's pretty much why they brought the xr 150L to market, bc it would take away grom sales, so its "different" but basically same speed w a little extra grunt more or less being "150cc", depending wind lol

I feel like if they did a 150r grom the justification isn't there for the possible higher maintenance. The 150r dirtbike is wicked fast but it has a high service interval or it becomes a time bomb. And the new 150 they have is cool but it's big and slow, and wouldn't be as compact as the 125. Pros and cons with everything but my guess is since they know we're gonna mod them anyway they decide this is a good starting point
They shouldn't have separated the GR and the OM.
Looks like they angled the seat up just a bit which I like. Was not a fan of the 3rd gen seats being so flat
Still feels pretty flat 😔 but it felt good if that means anything
I like the previous styling better.
They should do a psyclops glass projector like that previous gen mt09
Just got my 2025 a month agon has 500 miles on it and already has weird transmission issue thats seems to be common with these 5 speed Groms I already regret my purchase. After the bike gets warm it will start making a horrible whurrring noise.
interesting to hear. i cant say i have much experience on guys having trouble with these gearboxes. I know if you do a lighten primary gear mod on the z125 it makes a whining noise. all normal. any physical issues with your gearbox?

Not happy with the bland blastic,this year was to me nothing in the pop look, my sp edition is definitely creative. Great review
And honda mentioned that about the updates this year. The mindset was "the consumer will customize and create it better then we can imagine, we're just giving them a new canvas"

I've been comparing the z125, grom, etc. for a while, but if cfmoto brought their papio nova to the US I'd buy it immediately
Personally I don’t think it is worth the upgrade. He’ll even the 2020 models r still the same yeah the 5 speed is nice but if the 4 speed groms still smacked and rides basically the same. Abs also is terrible on a grom i much rather have regular breaks
For sure. I'd go buy a grom without abs for sure. But it did work if that's what you're looking for. I think if the person didn't have a grom then the new one is the move
I had a guy pull up next to me at a traffic light on one of these he took off as fast as he could....Needless to say I passed him in 3rd gear with very little effort. Then I thought what a cute moped....lol

I hated those big round washers. But the red white and blue should have been in the 2025
