I have no idea if you remember, several years ago, a viewer went off on Kristina. Said WELL I COULD DO WHAT YOU DO IF I HAD ALL THE TOOLS YOU DO. The crafting world went insane. I was at the top of the list going - NO NO I HAVE the same things she does. I bought them on purpose. Kristina has a talent. So does Kelly Latevola. So does Debby Huhges. The tools may HELP...but without the "eye" and the "brain" for art. You just do what you do. And, Cathy, I love what you do. I love this particular line of videos. Thank you.
So True. All of these ladies have a talent that is beyond! There should be a hashtag #kristinawernermademebuyit! 😂 I have quite a bit that belongs in there
It’s not just talent and the tools... I have all the tools and most of the talent.... but I miss the mojo/motivation part as well.... I think that’s also just as important 🤗
Both cards are beautiful. I have to tell you that I love being able to see you as your crafting. It makes watching videos so much more fun and your hysterical. Thank you
He is soooo stinkin’ cute ... I love your positive attitude ... thank you for reminding us that no one is perfect and we should give ourselves a break! 🤫🤔🤭
I think the one you filmed looks better because is “ darker” and the pink with lines ....that is what watercolor does! Love it you should do more watercolor color xx
I love your videos. I learn new things to use in my craft room like color swatching my watercolors/paints. Love that you go with the flow and share as your learn.
I too have bought items because I saw (Kristina Werner, Jennifer McGuire) others making beautiful cards. Sigh, the water coloring has not worked for me. I give you kudos for doing such a great job. I still have a long way to go in regards to that medium, and still think that may not be my forte. I do so love your copic coloring videos, and I printed out your practice sheet. I think maybe that is more my speed. The simple coloring. That's why I love you so much. Your designs are simple, yet look so beautiful. Like it took forever to create. So, I love your videos where you try new things you are not totally comfortable with. But you still are able to create something beautiful. These things inspire me to try something new. Thank you for being real and honest.
Oh Cathy, you are a delight. I was watching this, laughing and chuckling along with you - and then I laughed out loud when you started clucking. My husband was like, "What are you watching?" After I explained, he just looked at me and said NERD. I often crack myself up - you go girl.
You make my day with your videos. I always smile through the whole show. You are an natural on the camera and I do learn some new techniques in the end. Just keep 'em coming Cathy. Thanks for being MEW! Sorry , I couldn't help myself.
Cathy, such an adorable card. I really hope that others will be encouraged to try watercolors with their stamps, because it's not all that complicated. All one REALLY needs is a good brush. The paints do not have to be 'artist grade' and pricey. I have painted for years using Prang in the 8 color set. One thing I would suggest for painting, have a scrap piece of white paper beside you to test out a color. If you test and don't like the shade you can start over. Also have a paper towel beside you, if you put down too much color or even water, you can dab it right up. One thing about watercolor over say markers, the person you send the card to can TELL that you did the painting, even some spots or irregularities only ADD to the beauty.
Another much needed video. I do struggle with what to do with stamps sans dies. I love the simplicity of this card and the use of the cover die in the background. I have to remember, like you said, not every card has to be over the top. You make the watercoloring seem easily doable. Thank You!
Darling card. You're going to love the Gemini, esp if you're doing a lg batch, such as holiday cards. Oh, & you need to wear a tiara when you use that costly paintbrush. :0)
Cathy... I absolutely love your videos! You are so funny! Watching you is like hanging out with a good friend! Thanks for the awesome tips and the encouragement to try out new things! 🤓
Having 3 kitties, can appreciate this adorable kitty. I have dabbled in water color, still scares me. Watch Kristina Warner all the time and you. Love your dies and stamps that you design, that’s really cool. Tfs. Blessings!
One thing I’ve learned with watercolour (and I’m no expert) is use more water, not white, to lighten the colour. It does look more transparent, which I like. But hey white is in the set, so personal preference.
As a Jersey Girl, can totally relate to the unsavory words, LOL! Love this, thx Cathy, inspired to paint a critter with all.the.tools.I.have.that.are.in.a.storage.organizer LOL!
The card is adorable and I love your... gives me courage to bring out my watercolors and give them another try. Love your commentary... you're funny. Thanks Cathy!
Sandy Allnock has many videos that include watercoloring tips. Watering down your pigment in the tin and using a slightly drier brush might have made your painting process easier for light colors. Putting down water first means wet-in-wet painting, which makes controlling the intensity of the color more difficult. Good for large areas and backgrounds, but perhaps not the best choice for tiny areas. It would have been a way to soften the edges on the pink by letting the pigment migrate outward. Most watercolor sets don't include white. Water dilutes the pigments to create lighter colors on white paper. If you blot wet paint, it will probably lighten it. You can use a heat gun (low setting if you have it) if you're in a hurry, though sometimes that does change the look a bit.
So adorable Cathy. I have 3 cats myself. And to quote "Super Trooper" I love them meow! Also, let me say how I appreciate that your links go right to the site where the product is instead of that site that you have to pay to see. Several card makers are using it and it's annoying for those of us who do not subscribe. I am intimidated by water coloring and usually stick to zig markers along embossing to keep me in the lines. You are brave.
I haven’t attempted watercolor much yet. I did one and came to the conclusion I need a smaller for the finer parts. I have the nuvo brush set, inexpensive and they seem fine for what I’m doing. I don’t think there’s a real fine one though, or perhaps I misplaced it. Good job on the kitty. I like that cover plate too. It’s in my cart, we’ll see if it makes it thru the purchase. Lol. It is striking though, I keep going back to it. I’m interested in finding out how you like your Gemini junior. I love mine, but it’s so strong, you can really go through the plates.
Ok, Cathy... now that I’m back from my 45 MINUTES (I’m at work BTW) from the AMAZON site because I have wanted the Mijellos FORRRR-EVER... UHHH.... I have so MANY sets I don’t already use... I’m crying like a 2 year old! LOL! Your card was great, I wasn’t sure why I truly ordered this set, but now I’m looking forward to receiving it! I think when I ordered it, I did it for my cat loving daughters. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! As for the Gemini, I see where you posted the unboxing, I bought one about a month ago and haven’t used it, but I got it for the same reason. I have the full size Platinum (which is a beast of a machine) and I’m almost getting an electrical pop in my hands and wrists when I use it. IDK?! Off to watch your other video. Thanks for doing all of your Stamptember videos (I’ve bought them all so far except 2). 😆😍🤪
The kitty is adorable but I have to admit my favorite part was when hubby texted you! It reminded me of the line from "Wizard of Oz". Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!! Great job water coloring!!
I also have the Platinum die cutting machine and I love it. I did purchase the Gemini Jr. a couple months ago and I LOVE it!! I did watch Jennifer’s video about attaching the cutting plates together and it is genius! I always had to get the booklet out to remember the proper sandwich. Enjoy your new machine!
I bet Kristina talks to the screen when she watches your videos! 🤣👏🏼 “I AM proud of you Cathy! You’re doing an awesome job!” 💪🏼🥰🎉 Especially when little kitties are involved 😻😹⭐️ And for the record, I loved the second one the most. You did a fantastic job of painting. I’d automatically go for a grey grounding but the pink looked beautiful.
Thank you once again Cathy for a great video! Definitely feeling inspired! You’re a wonderful way to start a day! When I see you have posted a new video... it’s like seeing a friend’s name pop up on your phone when they call, you smile to yourself, because you’re actually happy to hear from them!! 🥰🤗💜
You amuse yourself and you definitely amuse me!! I just recently found your channel and am so glad I did!! (That deserved a double exclamation). I am happy when I watch you, I am inspired and I learn stuff, so thank you bunches💜🌷🌷🌷🌷
I understand how easily you can rationalize buying craft items! But I did a big intake when you said mission gold paints! I am working on learning to paint with water colors. I do clean my palette as I cannot abide messy colors and not having space to mix. I got the nail polish that you showed us and am enjoying it. I was distracted as I thought one of your nails was not painted today! Love the kitties!
Love your little kitty and think he turned out quite well. I usually water color with my zigs or my inks, don’t own a set of water colors except for pearlescent and metallics. I do love that brush you are using, just like looking at it! Has to make you feel like you can do it!
Hello! This is my first time watching watercolor cards. Thank you for being so cool and casual with it. It is very intimidating to me and you brought your relaxed vibe and made it fun!! I just might have to try this (but only buying the less expensive tools). 😉
Oooh another vid, love watching these coming from your craft slash, whilst I’m in my craft slash....yours, slash dining, mine slash bedroom. It’s great having the face circle in the corner, everyone should have one. Have a fab day duckeggXxX & thanks for sharing your knowledge.🙋🏽♀️💛👍🏽 Oh, I bought the colour circle you used to explain how colours go together👍🏽 so colour circle kudos to you.
I like them both!! I tried your tip about layering, because I have a hard time. It works great for me. Thank you!! I love water coloing!! I'm not the best at. I think it's fun. Just learning to do it.
Hi, Kathy. Love your videos and card designs. BTW I always clean my palette. I rarely use the same colors the next time I paint so cleaning my palette when I’m done each time saves me some time and from making mistakes with the old design colors.
Such a sweet card. I love all of your tips & I’m definitely going to try some water color. Also, yes you do look on camera, you’re rocking it for sure!!
I love your card Cathy. I ordered the stamp and die set. I had cataract taken out in both eyes in the past year in both eyes. I don’t need glasses now. I have lens that do the job. Only thing is they cost $2500 each eye. My school friend told me about them in UK she has one.
Yep, also have the gemini junior, have also hand, wrist and arm issues and the gemini makes it all much better. Also some of the dies that dudn't work , now cut like a charm 👍, thank you Gemini haha
@Cathy Zielske On palette cleaning .. yes ! clean it .. LOL .. If you will use what is on the mixing area again .. leave it.. but any time you need a clear space to mix more paint .. definitely clean it........ : ) .. I clean mine regularly .. have done it this way for decades .. Hope this helps.. Love this video .. ( ok.. I pretty much love them all , but this is no exception .. )
Cathy, congratulations on the Gemini Jr purchase. It’s a game changer for those of us who have hand issues. Plus it makes it a lot easier when doing an assembly line. And by the way, both cards are gorgeous. Keep them coming. 👍👏
My goodness Cathy, I had to chuckle when you 'clucked'... I used to 'tsk' all the time when I was younger and sometimes now even find myself doing the odd task. Old habits die hard and some come back in old age. Thanks for the videos, love watching and learning.
It makes me happy to see your face circle pop up in my notifications :) I'm also very happy you did something with this set because I just received mine in the mail today, yay! And I think this is totally adorable!
I would love it if you could help me. What is the name of the black pen you use to touch up black lines missed in stamping? ??? Pilot ??? I would love to get one I have seen Kristine W. Use one.
Thank you. I am sorry for being one of those people... you know... that would ask what that one thing was that you did not list on your ginormous list of supplies... thank you and you are so sweet. I will try not to be one of those people and be happy with the list :)
Such a cute card- and another fun session "with you". You always make me smile and I so appreciate your keeping it real. I *am* inspired-- I was meant to watch this today, as my new larger watercolor set arrived today (El cheapo, as I'm still a novice) ...and yes, you *are* rockin' it. Stay safe!
Pretty sure brighter, whiter papers are bleached. I like the Neenah and Cougar "natural" shades, which don't have a hint of yellow to my eye (and aren't watercolor papers, of course).
I have the gemini jr because your buddy Jennifer McGuire uses it. I LOVE it! In fact, I just bought another one for my daughter in law for he birthday. Also I love the little face in the circle. I like it because I think it gives a more personal connection with you while you create.
Cute! I brought out some brush pens and stamps last evening to start experimenting. Had fun with it. Was fascinated when I watched you blot off paint. 💖💖💖🌹🤓
Cathy, another great video. Getting my courage up to try watercoloring images. BTW, receiving my Gemini Jr was life changing. Have used it for two weeks now. Saves on the wrist but perfect cut every time. Loved my Cuttlebug but ‘there’s a new kid in town!’ And she’s marvy!! Lol. Happy Thursday, Cathy. 🧡🤎❤️
Gemini Jr is awesome!! I have the Jr and the big daddy, the Gemini and love them both! I think you will be happy and I can also say, CC really backs their products as well.
I really enjoy your videos - when you started this series you were going to figure out how to create something and show us your process. It seems like that’s stopped! I loved watching your creative process - it helped me to know mine wasn’t so crazy!!!! No samples before!
Cathy Zielske no samples before. In this video it seemed like you made a card before filming. Love the ones where you just film and figure it out along the way!
Love both the cards . I would never give this a go . It doesn’t matter how many videos I watch , books I read and time i take trying . The result is , it looks like a two year 9ld has painted it . But that’s probably doing an injustice to a 2 year old . .lol thank you still loved watching the whole video as enjoy your stories and chat . Thank you x
A few unsavory words lol! That would be me! Love both your cute cards!! Too funny when you said how you hold your paint brush and pen in an odd way. I was actually watching you color with markers another day and thought to myself...how in the world is she coloring holding the marker that way! I actually tried to mimic the hold and couldn't do it lol!! It obviously works wonderfully for you as seen in all your awesome cards!! I only attempt to watercolor when I have embossed the image and can therefore keep the paints contained!!
I have no idea if you remember, several years ago, a viewer went off on Kristina. Said WELL I COULD DO WHAT YOU DO IF I HAD ALL THE TOOLS YOU DO. The crafting world went insane.
Thank you
Thank you so much!
He is soooo stinkin’ cute ... I love your positive attitude ... thank you for reminding us that no one is perfect and we should give ourselves a break! 🤫🤔🤭
Crafting should be fun!
Come for the talent, stay for the show!
They are BOTH adorable!!! I love just listening to you talk through your process!!
Glad you like them!
I just love you! You are so real and relatable!!! You are my favorite!!! Thank you 🙏
Wow, thank you!
I think the one you filmed looks better because is “ darker” and the pink with lines ....that is what watercolor does! Love it you should do more watercolor color xx
Love the simple elegant cute card. And obviously your sense of humour! 👍🏽😉
Thanks so much!
I love your videos. I learn new things to use in my craft room like color swatching my watercolors/paints. Love that you go with the flow and share as your learn.
Love your attitude and your videos are always refreshing! No pressure, just fun! Thanks!
So cute. Love the pink in the kitty. "You are rockin' middle age! " You crack me up.
😊 thank you
I too have bought items because I saw (Kristina Werner, Jennifer McGuire) others making beautiful cards. Sigh, the water coloring has not worked for me. I give you kudos for doing such a great job. Craft nerds unite!
Such a cute card. Thanks for all the watercolor tips. I think both cards are great & I loved the running commentary about mixing colors. Great job
You make my day with your videos. I always smile through the whole show. You are an natural on the camera and I do learn some new techniques in the end. Just keep 'em coming Cathy. Thanks for being MEW! Sorry , I couldn't help myself.
Wow, thank you!
Love it all. The pink is perfect.
Cathy, such an adorable card. I really hope that others will be encouraged to try watercolors with their stamps, because it's not all that complicated. All one REALLY needs is a good brush. Right! I need to keep reminding myself of this!
Okay..YOU do make it looks very easy!!! I’m actually thinking..I can do this..because Cathy can!!
Another much needed video. I do struggle with what to do with stamps sans dies. I love the simplicity of this card and the use of the cover die in the background. I have to remember, like you said, not every card has to be over the top. You make the watercoloring seem easily doable. Thank You!
You are hysterical! I love watching you. I'm not very good, either, but you make me feel good! 🤗
Darling card. You're going to love the Gemini, esp if you're doing a lg batch, such as holiday cards. Oh, & you need to wear a tiara when you use that costly paintbrush. :0)
Just love your realness. Your approach to creativity is awesome. You keep being you!!
Thank you so much!!
Cathy... I absolutely love your videos! You are so funny! Watching you is like hanging out with a good friend! Thanks for the awesome tips and the encouragement to try out new things! 🤓

Ohhh. Good tip!
Cute, I like the second one better. Darker pink grounding seems to make the kitty stand out.
As a Jersey Girl, can totally relate to the unsavory words, LOL! Love this, thx Cathy, inspired to paint a critter with all.the.tools.I.have.that.are.in.a.storage.organizer LOL!
Unsavory words are my love language.
So adorable! Love the pink!
Keep up with the sessions! I adore you style of humor and your perfect “clean” card style. Thanks!!
Thank you! Will do!
The card is adorable and I love your... gives me courage to bring out my watercolors and give them another try. Love your commentary... you're funny. Thanks Cathy!
You can do it!
I actually enjoy the water lines in the second one. It’s more painterly while the first is more illustrative...I think, lol. It’s all in what you ♥️
So simple and cute!

Very cute, also, I love hearing you "work" through your project. You make me laugh and I so enjoy it!
I will watch her video. I saw it once before but didn't have a gemini!
You are fantastic not matter what room you are in! Love this, so inspired! Thanks
Thanks so much!
I bet Kristina talks to the screen when she watches your videos! 🤣👏🏼 “I AM proud of you Cathy! You’re doing an awesome job!” 💪🏼🥰🎉
Especially when little kitties are involved 😻😹⭐️
And for the record, I loved the second one the most. You did a fantastic job of painting. I’d automatically go for a grey grounding but the pink looked beautiful.
Oh gray would have been good!
Again Cathy...so entertaining and yet cute! Thanks
Thank you! 😊
I love this card. You did a fabulous job. Be easy on yourself.
Great tip to use the Score Buddy to line up card panels on front.
I just love your videos. They are entertaining and encouraging and your tips are great! Can't wait for the next one!!
Glad you like them!
I just love you... you're my proof that I'm normal. Adorable card.
Cute card. You are better at coloring than you think you are. Keep it up and I'm sure you'll just continue to improve. Your painting is perfect!
I hope so!
Thank you once again Cathy for a great video! Definitely feeling inspired! You’re a wonderful way to start a day! When I see you have posted a new video... it’s like seeing a friend’s name pop up on your phone when they call, you smile to yourself, because you’re actually happy to hear from them!! 🥰🤗💜
Awww, thanks!
I just love how you teach!
I just LOVE when you whisper and concentrate! Tooooo cute!
😊 thank you
You amuse yourself and you definitely amuse me!! I just recently found your channel and am so glad I did!! (That deserved a double exclamation). I am happy when I watch you, I am inspired and I learn stuff, so thank you bunches💜🌷🌷🌷🌷
Thanks and welcome
This was a fun video! Love the water coloring!
Yes to cleaning the palette, the colours will blend together and in the end make mud.... cheers Lucy
Thanks for the tip!
Fun video. You'll love the Gemini Jr. Only downside is plates are crap and cup and warp immediately. Enjoy
Thanks for the tip!
Love your little kitty and think he turned out quite well. I usually water color with my zigs or my inks, don’t own a set of water colors except for pearlescent and metallics. I do love that brush you are using, just like looking at it! Has to make you feel like you can do it!
Thank YOU!! I truly enjoyed watching this!!!! Thank you!
Thanks for this wonderful video! I enjoyed watching you watercolor the adorable kitty and love the finished card! Hope you love your new Gemini!
Such an adorable cat set and the paint job turned out great!
Thank you so much!
Hello! This is my first time watching watercolor cards. Thank you for being so cool and casual with it. It is very intimidating to me and you brought your relaxed vibe and made it fun!! I just might have to try this (but only buying the less expensive tools). 😉
Yes! Do! You do NOT need expensive tools!
Oooh another vid, love watching these coming from your craft slash, whilst I’m in my craft slash....yours, slash dining, mine slash bedroom. It’s great having the face circle in the corner, everyone should have one. Have a fab day duckeggXxX & thanks for sharing your knowledge.🙋🏽♀️💛👍🏽
Oh, I bought the colour circle you used to explain how colours go together👍🏽 so colour circle kudos to you.
I like them both!!
I tried your tip about layering, because I have a hard time. It works great for me. Thank you!!
I love water coloing!! I'm not the best at. I think it's fun. Just learning to do it.
That's nice coloring, Cathy. I've never tried watercoloring.
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi, Kathy. Love your videos and card designs. BTW I always clean my palette. I rarely use the same colors the next time I paint so cleaning my palette when I’m done each time saves me some time and from making mistakes with the old design colors.
Oh thank you! I am going to clean mine off!
I share your trepidation re watercolor. Live and learn is right. Thanks for another inspiring video.
You are so welcome!

Such a great video (and some great asmr sounds 😁) 💕
Lol! I could have a second career!
So cute! Have you ever tried other colors of embossing powders? I’m thinking of gradually getting various colors outside of golds, silver and white.
Not really. I sort of stay in my wheelhouse! lol
It makes me happy to see your face circle pop up in my notifications :) I'm also very happy you did something with this set because I just received mine in the mail today, yay! And I think this is totally adorable!
Yay, thank you!
It's a very cute card. I like the second one best.
I would love it if you could help me. What is the name of the black pen you use to touch up black lines missed in stamping? ??? Pilot ??? I would love to get one I have seen Kristine W. Use one.
Oh, sorry! I forgot to list it: ldli.co/e/exx50p. It's a Pilot Envelope Pen!
Thank you. I am sorry for being one of those people... you know... that would ask what that one thing was that you did not list on your ginormous list of supplies... thank you and you are so sweet. I will try not to be one of those people and be happy with the list :)
Your experience with Christina "what's goin on?" Is how I feel watching you and Jennifer! But thank you for the inspiration!
Love your videos because they make me laugh 🤣 loud 😂. Love you, being you.
I'm so glad!
Yes, you inspired me. I ordered the paint set! Thanks Cathy!
Wonderful! Be sure to download my printable chart for swatching!
I love your little circle face!
I use the same cutting board for painting. Much better for painting than cooking as it didn’t fit in the sink anyway.
Cathy I love your style of humor, your card is lovely and so beautiful!💪🤗Hugs from Slovenia, Nataša💋
Oh thank you!
Wonderful artwork‼︎ Thanks for sharing‼︎
Thank you so much 😀
Enjoy your videos, you will love the Gemini Jr. I just got one, there is a difference in machines.
I have the gemini jr because your buddy Jennifer McGuire uses it. I LOVE it! In fact, I just bought another one for my daughter in law for he birthday. Also I love the little face in the circle. I like it because I think it gives a more personal connection with you while you create.
That is awesome! I need to open my box this weekend!
“The snozeberries taste like snozeberries” that was one of my favorite movies.
Cute! I brought out some brush pens and stamps last evening to start experimenting. Had fun with it. Was fascinated when I watched you blot off paint. 💖💖💖🌹🤓
Have fun!
🧡🤎❤️
Wonderful!
This is absolutely adorable - you’re inspiring me to try watercolor
Gemini Jr is awesome!! I have the Jr and the big daddy, the Gemini and love them both! I think you will be happy and I can also say, CC really backs their products as well.
So far, I LOVE it.
I really enjoy your videos - when you started this series you were going to figure out how to create something and show us your process. It seems like that’s stopped! I loved watching your creative process - it helped me to know mine wasn’t so crazy!!!! No samples before!
Do you mean you DO like this type of video? Or not? I'm not sure what you mean by your comment. You do NOT like samples before?
Cathy Zielske no samples before. In this video it seemed like you made a card before filming. Love the ones where you just film and figure it out along the way!
I love your videos! You always make me laugh. Thank you for another fun video!
Glad you like them!
I like ur blending..that looks very cool!!
Thanks so much 😊
Love both the cards . Thank you x
I do feel you on this. I have been getting SLOWLY better. The fact that I decided to do this on camera? That's me being bold! hahaha!
N9 that’s you being brave . X
You did just fine!
Love this and I was entertained. 💜
Yeah, it's an odd hold!
