I so appreciate the humor you interject into your narratives. LOL...now when I'm pulling a stamp etc., you pop in my head...and I find myself thinking.." now what"...and I'm much more positive tackling the project....probably because I'm then smiling.
"If you saw my wardrobe, you would understand..." I belted out laughing because I can so relate! My minimal wardrobe is pitiful compared to the amount of stamp sets that I own. And I'll easily drop $40 for one stamp and die set but I refuse pay that much for a shirt. Hahahaha!
That is totally me, I buy a pair of white shoes and a pair of black shoes each year, and probably 20 or so new stamp sets and whatever other shiny crafty thing catches my eye... lol!
Thank you for taking the time to post videos for us. I’ve learned so much from you and I always look forward to your videos. You’re the coolest lady ever. Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁❤️
I can be having the absolute worst day and a Cathy Z video will turn it around and make me LOL. And inspire the heck out of me! Blending those background colors never would have occurred to me and you've done it beautifully. As always, amazing. Two Canadian thumbs up.
It really is cute! Stencils don't really blow my skirt up, but it is a simple card, that doesn't look simple. Thanks for always making me laugh, too. That is always appreciated!
I saw your Instagram story and wanted to come leave a comment even though I haven't watched this video yet. I love your videos - both the edited ones and the longer less edited ones. Watching and listening to them is like spending time with a friend. Keep doing what you do. There are plenty of us who enjoy them.
I loved everything about this video- from your color choices and tips, to the self-talk (whispered and "full voice"), to the deliberations around the sentiment and WF die best suited to cut down the base. As always, I was totally entertained, learned a ton, and was inspired to re- examine my stash to create something as joyful as this card. Thanks so much-- wishing you and yours a safe, healthy, and Happy Thanksgiving (#feelinggratefulforthisCZtimeinmyday)
Also that technique Jennifer McGuire taught where you ink your paper with distress ink, not oxide, then putting a baby wipe on top of the stencil, to dry emboss it. Wow
I. Love. This. !!! So much! It makes me think of the song Silent Night! I love your Graphic Design brain! Yep, the world will stop! I love typography! It was one of my favorite classes back in college! Keep doing what you’re doing! You make my soul smile, and I’m kind of needing that right now. ❤️
Hi from Dallas, Cathy. Been crazy. My 43 yr old daughter in Boca celebrated her 44th birthday today. Being my only child, of course Mama Bear had to go over the top. She just got divorced and is spending her first birthday alone. Of course, my husband had to send some practical jokes and f8nished off with flowers. My daughter and I text at least six days per day, sometimes up to two hours! My stepson and hopefully DIL are coming for dinner tomorrow night. 6 bone pork loin on the rotisserie. It’s 12:45 and I just finished carving the loin and bones. In the fridge with an apple Brine. So, I’ve been delayed in getting your new tool sent out. I’m excited for you to get it. It’s pretty cool, well I know I’m a bit biased cuz my husband made it for me. He’s made so many tools and organizing things for me. He was planning to retire from Raytheon next Fall, but got a Doctor position offered. I think he’ll stay for awhile. He spent 6 years in the Navy and is in the Defense Division now. So, I’ll get this in the mail no later than the first of next week. Take care and stay safe. If the police get defunded and our guns taken away, “stay safe” will mean a whole different thing. Lol
Cathy, I totally know what you are saying about the word, non fiction, I was exactly the same way with that word. How funny is that. Loving this card, I’m all about winter, adore your style. Tfs.
Ah! How on earth did I manage to miss this video?! Oh well on the bright side I have a lovely long video to enjoy yay! Thanks so much for sharing not only your lovely makes but also your awesome advice about how to go about working out what to do with various supplies - that's half the battle sometimes as it's not just knowing how to do certain techniques it's also learning how to get inspiration and being brave enough to just get stuff out and play with it. And love the awesome humour along the way too 😊😊. Love all your videos ❤❤
Loved this card. The discussion/decision about the white border was a great lesson in how to create a professional finish. I’m not a fan of white, I tend to use kraft or black for my creations, but this was really stunning in white.
Very nice, CZ! I get such a giggle from the parts where you are "talking to yourself" -- you know the OTHER you! FU-NNY! It makes me wonder, back in the day, did you sing, "I've got a brand new pair of roller skates. Now what?" HEE-HEE! I couldn't resist. Rock on, sista!!!
Love your videos, Cathy! They make me smile and laugh every time! Beautiful card design. 😍😍. PS...I may have a little tip for you. The pick-up stick you were using...try unscrewing the bottom pointed end of it. That piece can then be used to apply pressure to hold your embellishment in place while your right hand places the object where you want it.
This card is so pretty! Those trees look almost ethereal. Just stunning. I love every part of it! Again you've done a beautifully masterful card, and with sound effects. Thanks for sharing! (And thanks for the teaching about lettering -- I love learning new things!)
I’m not sure which was more joyful to watch - the most amazing, joyful, winter card or how joyful it made you to know you had nailed the fushimi out of it! (fiction or nonfictional foods, know what? 🤔)
Another beauty with the trees! Loving those winter skies, too! This very much makes me want to go make a card, but, alas, I’m away for the holiday. Thanks for all the inspo!
TY I laughed my butt off over you making this card... Your comments always add something to the videos. I too make silly noises while crafting.... You always make my day !!! TY, TY, TY... It turned out so beautiful !!!
So pretty I love winter night skies
I love how you stream of consciousness create! It makes me smile!!! And I love, love, love your designs!
Thank you so much!
I so appreciate the humor you interject into your narratives. LOL...now when I'm pulling a stamp etc., you pop in my head...and I find myself thinking.." now what"...and I'm much more positive tackling the project....probably because I'm then smiling.
"Is it going to be a mess or are we going to cue an angel choir?" This lady is funny. 🅰️➕
"If you saw my wardrobe, you would understand..." I belted out laughing because I can so relate! My minimal wardrobe is pitiful compared to the amount of stamp sets that I own. And I'll easily drop $40 for one stamp and die set but I refuse pay that much for a shirt. Hahahaha!
Oh sister, yeah… my shoe collection alone? I have like, three pairs total. It's bad. But I would rather spend on craft supplies and tech stuff!
Hahaha...I can relate totally with both of you!! I honestly have to do laundry every week or I have nothing to wear!!
@@kristinevencel2898 Haha me too!!
That is totally me, I buy a pair of white shoes and a pair of black shoes each year, and probably 20 or so new stamp sets and whatever other shiny crafty thing catches my eye... lol!
This thread is hysterical.
Love watching snow fall outside and onto art projects. Equally satisfying.
As a graphic designer I love that you bring so many design terms and concepts into your videos! Thank you
I'm so glad!
Thanks so much for all you do and for being real !! You’re videos and commentary always make my day just a bit brighter 💜💜💜
Thank you so much!!
Great tip with the tape. No one likes a hairy tittle! Another beautiful card!
Ha! Truer words were never spoken! Agree!
I had to read that twice. Lol😘
Thank you for taking the time to post videos for us. I’ve learned so much from you and I always look forward to your videos. You’re the coolest lady ever. Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁❤️

Your card is so cute! It looks like snow covered trees on a wintery night, so Joyful. 😍
Thank you so much!
Angels singing!! It’s awesome!! How pretty!!
I love that you don’t take yourself seriously. You crack me up.
I can't be too serious, right? It's crafting!
Your joy in crafting is so contagious you make me happy Cathy Z!

Riddles and defenders, who knew this fab video would also be a font lesson. 💜💙💖
Oh darn spell check! Tittle!!!tittle!!! Tittle!!!

Thanks, Julie!!!
I find myself gravitating to stencils more and more. Think they are lot of fun and quick!
They are, and do you ever dry emboss with them??? That's a fun thing to do!
Also that technique Jennifer McGuire taught where you ink your paper with distress ink, not oxide, then putting a baby wipe on top of the stencil, to dry emboss it. Wow

Cathy, this card is beautiful!!!
Ooo a glittery texture paste over the trees would be pretty!

Hearing you saying „Schmutz“ really made me laught!!! It’s so German that it surprised me as much I can‘t say how much!!!🤣
You had my thumbs up within the first 30 seconds ! But, the trees came out beautifully, so you earned it fair and square ! 👍
Awww. Thanks!
This entire video is joyful. Thanks for a lovely project, for making "mistakes," and for your great sense of humor.

This is adorable and makes me joyful!!
Omg do I chuckle during your intro. Love the card as well as the video. 💜
So glad!
Oh my gosh! I love that part in the movie Elf.
Best holiday movie!
Loved this card. The discussion/decision about the white border was a great lesson in how to create a professional finish. I’m not a fan of white, I tend to use kraft or black for my creations, but this was really stunning in white.
Kraft would have been lovely though!
"Die hairs"...Cathy, you're in our heads.. lol. So artistic.
The typographer in me rejoices.
Yay!
Perfect!!! So very pretty!!
I've tried dryer sheets but prefer wax paper. The die cuts come out perfect! Especially intricate dies.
Hi..really cute card..love your sense of fun 🥰🌹🇦🇺
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love the card. I love your videos and also the designs that you do for stamp companies. Clean and simple type. Very, very pretty.

Oh, I remember that song!
Ty for teaching of letters never knew
So cute. Love the colors you chose!

GORGEOUS card, Cathy!!! 😍👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The trees are OH, so PRETTY. Said same time you said it, so cool.
“The world didn’t stop, but let’s be real: it could’ve.” My thoughts exactly on details that are a little off.
Haha! Yep!

Beautiful card design. 😍😍. PS...I may have a little tip for you. The pick-up stick you were using...try unscrewing the bottom pointed end of it. That piece can then be used to apply pressure to hold your embellishment in place while your right hand places the object where you want it.
Oh my gosh, I ALWAYS forget you can do that! lol!
Great card and SO much fun as usual.
Thanks so much!

I’m not sure which was more joyful to watch - the most amazing, joyful, winter card or how joyful it made you to know you had nailed the fushimi out of it! (fiction or nonfictional foods, know what? 🤔)

Thank you!
Loved hearing your thought process for this card.
PS
Your nails look great😉
I think texture paste would work well with this stencil. I love the colors. It really came out lovely.
it would! Or glimmer paste, too!
Booping and clicking is necessary. I talk to myself all the time. And Elf is my favorite holiday movie! Always good to quote and reference!
It's the best!
Yes! I was thinking the white border to echo the letter width too!
That card is perfection! Just love it😀
Thanks so much!
Beautiful card!! ♥️
