I didn't realize Sturgill could play the guitar like he did for just under 3 hours.... I bet he had to ice down his fingers after the show. Some of the greatest guitar players have nothing on this guy!!! Great show!
I’ll see what else I’ve got and post what I can. I edited this video basically just showing the highlights, but I can post what songs I have individually. I didn’t capture each song in full, but I did record a few.
The new sound is great. Some people that have been fans of his for a while don’t like it hell I’ve even heard of people who just stayed for the childres show and left before sturgill came out. I call them people crazy because this is an awesome new sound for his guys they’re discovering and what a sound it is! Rock, country shit even rap I bet he can do it all!! Lol
Confirmed this yesterday at the Charlotte show, I saw droves of people leave midway through his set, I know he noticed it because he mentioned it during towards the end of his set but still shredded the guitar for the fans who stayed. I loved the experience and it was definitely something different.
I'm one of the few who think his albums are getting better and better as they come out. I was at Birmingham and that show was one of my all-time favorites.
Zachary Harr sucked half the arena left during his performance. I genuinely felt bad, what he considered his hometown show abandoned him like that. He fucking sleighs like Jimi Hendrix, he is our modern day Jimi.
Matt Lowe I hear ya. That happened in Knoxville too. It was a packed house until about 7 songs into his fantastic new album “Sound And Fury”. I think most didn’t know he would be doing the entire S and F album and got fed up and left. I love it, but it’s not a country album and if you came to see a county show, the first half of his set wasn’t that. The venue in Knoxville started clearing around Fastest Horse in Town, and by the time he got to Some Days/Long White Line, the venue was about half full where once it was packed. It was pitiful because he did make a comment to the 15 people left in the section in the back of the coliseum. He said something like, “ya’ll be careful up there because it’s a long way down and there’s no one to catch your fall”.
I know! I think quite a bit were there for Tyler Childers. I like Tyler... but love Sturgill. Probably the best performance I've ever seen. Hopefully I can catch him at a small venue some time.
Thanks for uploading! If you have a minute, I recorded a cover of Jason Isbell. As a fellow music lover, I'd love if you'd check it out. It's on my page. Hope you like it!
This concert sucked. Went with 3 friends and we all fell asleep during his show....no shit. Left just over an hour into it....so did a lot of the crowd. More than obvious that he’s already given up. 3 albums worth of gold and he spends half the show playing that disco-rock crap and the other half playing bad versions of his older tunes.

He’s literally a rock star
Thanks much for sharing this powerful, freakin jamming, AWESOME performance!! #SturgillSimpson🔥
Great stuff! Thanks for taking the time to upload these!
That version of mercury in retrograde was so much fun
Yes, it is great!
Post everything you've got Scott! this is great thank you

Screw the haters! Sturgill is a rock star regardless of what genre he plays. I loved every second of this show.

Damn people are really hung up on his sound change, where you even really listening?
Just saw him in Lexington... dude can shred. Had no idea.

@@ScottJohnson80 What kind of idiots would walk out on SS?
Would’ve loved to hear the full songs :(
I wasn’t about to hold my camera for 2 straight hours so I got snippets of most songs instead.
More Please!
Sad thing is he says 2 more albums and he's gone... :(
Hot damn!
What's the slow song after the new album set?
Zachary Harr “I’d Have To Be Crazy” off his album High Top Mountain. It’s a Willie Nelson cover.
Machine Gun in the Call To Arms jam

Man I love Sturgill but

Sucks that you only like one genre of music :(
Your loss...
Idiot
Sound & Fury is an amazing album
