I agree that by Alexandra doing the makeovers as a total gift, it gives her the freedom to have total control over the makeover, which is what must make it so fun for her. Having a vision and all sorts of great ideas, but then having your hands tied behind your back, and the client having the power to veto your ideas (or even some of your ideas) would be the ultimate killjoy! Because if you can’t create the whole vision, it might not work. And since the client can’t see inside her head, they just might not get where she is going.
On some of her makeovers, I found myself saying, “Oh, I don’t know if that’s gonna work. 😬” But when the project is all done, everything works together so well. You just have to wait to see the end product.
I hope she keeps having fun with this. It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s the fun that makes it worthwhile. 🌷

This literally made me cry... I am SOOOOOOO PROUD OF YOU both, and as an older entrepreneur (just turned 60- ventured out of corporate at age 26) happy to see you both following your entrepreneurial paths and having success. It makes me soooo happy to see you young girls doing your thing. Alex I binge your shows non stop trying to get my living space to the level I want it. Keep up the good work!! Jen keep interviewing interesting inspiring people- a good niche!

So interesting hearing more about how her business works!
I wonder if going the tv route even makes sense for her. She has so much freedom on RUclips and seems to have so much fun with her team.
Curious to see what her next steps are!

It is so interesting to see how self motivated people become successful. Schools should feature young people who have created their professions and let them lecture the students to show what is possible for the future. One note of constructive criticism for you, try not to use the word “like” so often otherwise nice job.

Love Alexandra! She was the first RUclips channel I subscribed to. Lighting definitely important. At the time during the pandemic I was living in a small dark condo and with the isolation I was really struggling with depression. My current home has these awesome skylights which give so much natural light which is something she always talks about😊 thanks!

I relate to your show because the things you produce are doable to the average person with some skills. The show on Japandi really got me going, and I redid my bedroom using the tips you gave during the makeover. My place is almost done, and it is Asian-Craftsman as there is a close tie in to them.

Why do interviewers take 2 minutes to ask a question? The poor interviewee is chomping at the bit to talk.

Do you realize you say "like" every 3-4 words...Please say it clearly, and no "likes" necessary
