Sir I am very tired of asking everyone. But I did not get the right advice from anyone. Some say to buy a dynamic mic, some say to buy a condenser mic. I want to record my poetry professionally at home. Please tell me a good mic and audio interface which gives me professional sound quality within my budget. My room is not Sound proof, My total budget is 350 dollars for audio interface, mic and headphones.
Thanks for the review. Questions are you using or would you use the Apogee Boom on the road for capture? Or do you go for more high end stuff like the Apogee Ensemble? I have an element 24 from Apogee and I like it alot however its not working with my new Macbook pro because of Ventura 13.0 what mic do you use on the road as well? thanks in advance.
Why wasn't the UAD $300 used for this test? I almost always recommend them to people even their currently $119 interfaces sound great. Appogee has always been a solid brand even when they were solely marketed to apple users.
I don’t think it stacks up well vs the Apollo they have a interface from Apogee to actually compete with the Apollo called the Apogee Symphony Desktop.
My problem with Apogee is they barely have any plugins to use With their DSP interfaces. If they had even half as many plugins as UA I’d try the boom or Duet. But with such a small choice it seems pointless to me to run DSP, especially with how powerful computers are now.
Sir

Is the fireface 400 still a good audio interface with external amp or would you pick the apogee over it ?

Sonically speaking I find the Apogee Boom and the Prism Sound to be very close.

Tbh I didn’t get the apogee for the dsp. I got it for the conversion and pres
They only give enough to have cohesive mixes with their link monitoring to make things quick and easy.

best to worst - B, A, C
I actually find the Sterling Audio quite pleasing and not too far off the other two.
