I've been loving this series of yours from Rovaniemi. I feel like Finland falls inbetween these big countries and gets often unnoticed although we're filled with culture. As a proud Finn, my breath is often taken by our beautiful nature - especially during winter time when the trees and the ground is just covered in snow. Thank you so much for showcasing Finland in such beautiful way. Love from Finland, Helsinki! Hyvää joulua! ❤🎄
Its so so so beautiful I really want to come back and come to Helsinki! And other areas of Finland you live in a beautiful part of the world thank you so much for watching and commenting! YOU DA BEST
I've watched all 3 of your Lapland videos, and I love them all and you're so cute, so now I'm Subscribed and I'm looking forward to watching all of your other videos now. The scenery is stunning and the Reindeer are just adorable, and very real, just like Unicorns! Happy Christmas to you and anyone reading this Xxx
I was once an elf at a Santa's grotto in northern England where I looked after the reindeer. It was very common for full grown adults to argue with me that the reindeer weren't real, they were made up like unicorns even though they were feeding actual reindeer (assumed they were "just" deer). They either still didn't believe me and thought I was staying in character or you would literally see their minds blown that they were real all along 🤣
oh my gosh thats so so cool, hahah oh really 🤣 thats SOOOO funny I cant believe even adults didnt bealive yu hehehe this made. me giggle thank you for sharing this story!
🤣 but these real reindeer don't fly. haha. at least i would love to visit lapland just to ride a reindeer pulled sled and to see the Northern lights and pictures with Santa
When I was a kid, around age 4 or 5, my grandparents took me to Santa’s Land in Cherokee, North Carolina. It wasn’t nearly as fancy as this, but it was one of the best times of my life at that age.
Oh goodness . So totally magical wow .. really loved this 😍😍 I'm not sure why I fully expected Reindeer to be huge lol not like a Horse but easily the size of a Donkey 🤣🤣 they look so much smaller than I expected and how beautiful they are 😍 fancy a hot chocolate now 😍
I always look forward to these vlogs to be posted it’s like I’m traveling to love the winter theme and cozy. Makes me get into the Christmas vibe more 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎅🤶🤶🤶🥰
Sooooo beautiful! Ty for taking me here because being from FL I would freeze to death in 2 seconds! lol. I loved the baby reindeer with one antler. So darn cute 🥰
So, so fun to watch these vlogs! I live in Canada and have seen many deer, moose and reindeer relatives….I always think these animals are magical creatures so I fully understand how you thought they were not even real. This is so Christmasy….thanks for these wonderful vlogs Catherine!

Maybe you see a reindeer with only one horn, that's normal! Reindeer grow new antlers EVERY year. Males drop them in winter and females in spring. Make a wish if you see a horn fall.
@@catherinekayy Finland has shelters for whole population (and tourists). Main shelters can take a direct hit even from a nuclear weapon and survive from it.

Loving your Lapland adventures! I've been watching them with my daughter and she would love to go there. Oh, and the mulled fruit drink is called Glögg and you can buy it in bottles from IKEA xx
fun health tip for future trips, if you cover your nose you're way less likley to get a cold. This can be a scarf, mask, balaclave or a mix of them. Turns out the cells that keep you health die off when your nose gets even just 9 degrees colder.

My wife and myself are looking to go lapland in 2024 for our wedding anniversary. May I ask how you booked trip? Tui fly to rovanimie but no accommodation at santa Village. Any help you can give would be appreciated
My husband actually booked this for us! He did it all seperately, so he booked flights through Skyscanner (We flew with Ryan air) He then did the hotel booking on booking.com

Even as a Finn myself, this seems crazy expensive. Sure, the season is very short, but the 39€ for example is on par with what a ticket to a full-blown theme park costs.
Yup seasonal travel to Lapland seems really expensive for what you would get out of it as a Finnish person. I get it's an experience like no other for foreign travellers but I can experience the same foods and magical winter atmosphere at home as well.
