Stopping with just the front brake at slow speed causes a small jolt on the handlebars. I think the head bearings need to be tightened. I appreciate this video to explain the process. At 14,000 mile I doubt I need to replace the bearings.
My advice is to inspect the bearings and the bracelet they fit on for the sub points. Clean and re-grease the bearings and carefully tighten the nuts so that they are not too tight and make it difficult to turn the steering wheel. When tightening the upper nut, there is a tendency to tighten the lower one on the steering axle a little more, keep that in mind! Greetings and many kilometers with your Vespa GTS!
I’m working on mine currently. Which one is right for the lower bearing, mounting it upside down or the reverse? Bcs I saw you mounted it upside down In my case, I have change it earlier about 4-5 months ago, put the free side ball upside. But I already feels the bearing start to play. Did I place them wrong?

How often do you need to change those bearings?
If there is play in the steering wheel or vibration then Also with a front impact, the balls are marked in the bearing ring and must be replaced.
