- NEAR DISASTER ! What happened to this RC Dakota ?
I'm thinking that one of the engines nearly stopped and caused a violent unexpected yaw. The pilot pulled off an amazing recovery and obviously decided to land. Great save !

Classic Dak tip stall, been there done that!. Needs to keep the speed up and the AOA down.
Decked out in D-day markings. Nice model!
Tip stall, to low throttle, some tailwind. Luckily he survived in one piece. Happened to me many times in the past with less luck. Learned from those crashes. Watch the airspeed is the most important rule of rc flying.
Your percocet kicked in for back pain causing a little webble wobble. You saved it so no worries
Down wind too slow before turning causing tip stall. Luckily had hight to recover. CoG needs bringing forward a few inches.
something shifted making it tail heavy ,was fine at takeoff , then became very pitch sensitive . very good save .
Looked like tip stalls - DC3s do that given a chance, and normally models are worse.
Luckily it wasn't towing a glider, coming back from the channel, had mechanical problems
Tail heavy, it’s obvious throughout flight. Shift batteries fwd or add weight
Flak?
Too slow. Stall. That simple. Trim for normal speed set too slow and perhaps additionally cg at aft limit.
