Had lived in different countries for almost 30 years, finally moved back for good about 2 years ago … Every country has its own advantages and disadvantages and there’s no such thing as a “perfect country”. It’s all about personal preferences and lifestyle choices. To me, HK remains one of the most vibrant, efficient, organised, convenient, diversified, compact … cities in the world. And most importantly, HK is a safe place compares to many others. I feel free and comfortable with walking around the city alone at any time of the day. Feeling privileged and am grateful that I can call this amazing place my home again. Thanks for sharing your HK experience! Travel safe! ❤

@@Nicofilms To be honest, I really don't know what kind of cakes you're looking for. There are bakery/cake shops at the Central & Sheung Wan districts too. Some of them are even very famous for locals & tourists to visit. If you cannot find a special cake shop for you, just go back to most of the MTR stations for which they've a bakery located in called Maxim's Cakes. Otherwise, you can find a Cha Chaan Teng (茶餐廳 HK style cafe) around 2:30 p.m. & so to try their fresh baked wherever there's a glass cabinet in front of the cafe to contain all the cakes/breads.
Hope next time you've checked more information beforehand so that you won't miss again.

@10:55 Hong Kong suffers from inconsistent romanisation usage, even in official signage and documentation. The public signage usually comes from 2-3 different schools of thought. For English speakers, the closest actual Cantonese pronunciation is approximately "zee" or "zi," with a very sharp Germanic "z." A more distant or lazy approximation would be "jee."
In Hong Kong's romanisation, the same word can be seen romanised as "Chi," "Chee," depending on who originally documented it for the government. There have been more thorough and consistent romanisation systems for Cantonese as used in academic circles (such as Yale and Jyutping), but Hong Kong's government has not deviated from its own vague and frequently inaccurate system with murky origins.
