- King’s Hawaiian Roll Cheesecake Danish
1 - 12 pack package of King Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls
½ cup + 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
8 oz. cream cheese - at room temperature
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg, beaten
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the microwave and brush liberally along sides and bottom of a rectangular (10x8 or 10x10 works best) baking dish and set aside.
Remove rolls from their original package and separate each roll. Place separated rolls into the baking dish. Using a sharp knife, cut an “X” about ⅔ deep in the top of each roll.
In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ½ cup melted butter. Mix together well and spread evenly over each roll, being careful to cover all sides and between each roll.
In a medium mixing bowl, mix together cream cheese using a hand mixer until smooth. Add ¼ cup sugar, mix to blend. Then, add vanilla and egg mixing until all ingredients are well combined. Spoon heaping spoonfuls of cheesecake mixture into the center (where x was created) of each roll. Bake uncovered for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven, allow to cool for approximately 5 minutes, and serve warm. Enjoy!
Any remaining rolls, if any, can be stored in the refrigerator covered for up to 5 days.

Looks amazing! We will be trying this at our next family get together!
All good cooks lick their fingers and talk with their mouths full! Keepin it real! Love that!
I agree! Thanks so much for your support and encouragement!!! 😊 So glad you enjoyed the video and I hope your family enjoys it as well! Have a blessed day!!!
I know these are delicious.
“Take off your jewelry, dear, and please don’t rattle that dish on the stove. Oh and clean up your countertop, it drives me crazy.”Good grief! 🤣😋😋❤️❤️
Well aren't you a picky nicky. My goodness. All that negativity in one comment. Steph, You're the kindest baker on RUclips and don't let that poor unhappy lady spoil your day over some bracelets and seasonal decorations, etc.. I know everyone's got an opinion, but to work up ALL that energy to just throw you to the bus? She needs some 'Happy' in her life. Poor sad thang!! Great job, Steph - looks wonderful and don't change a thing, you're beautiful, great smile and your kitchen is very cozy. - it makes me feel like I'm at a FRIENDS house enjoying being together. How more wonderful can you get.in the slightest bit. It's so clean and decorated to you liking. You do just GREAT !!! Cheers to you, Steph.
Love it.
So glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching and I hope you have a blessed day!!!
You and your Daughter are identical to eachother, SO Beautiful!! I love this recipe too.❤
Thank you for your kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It’s a great recipe, super tasty, and easy to make. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a wonderful evening!!!
I have never seen your daughter. But I'm sure she is beautiful
This would be even better if you added cherry, blueberry or strawberry pie filling in the center of the rolls and then top with the cream cheese mixture
Sounds great. Im wondering if these can be made the day before? I'd like to make a big batch to take to an early morning afterglow after church. Thank you! ❤❤ Blessings
Absolutely! Thanks for watching and I hope you have a blessed weekend! 😊
May I suggest that next time it might be easier if you took the cream cheese out of its wrapper and softened it on a plate.
🧐🤔
What was on your oven racks? Food looks delicious 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you! They are oven liners. I placed a link in the video under the “shop” button/icon so you can find them easily. Their purpose is to keep the oven clean and free of spills. They work amazingly well and have been a game changer in keeping my oven clean. Thanks for watching and your comment. Have a blessed day! 😊
I’d like to make this for brunch & add some sort of cherry or blueberry compote. Any suggestions on how to do that?
As a matter of fact, I just made a Blueberry Compote video that will release on 5/14 @ 5:00 pm EST. That would be a delicious topping. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a blessed day! 😊
Question, can you use powdered sugar in place of granulated?
I would say no since you are creaming together the cream cheese and granulated sugar. Powdered Sugar contains cornstarch and it would not blend well together. Thanks for watching and your question. Have a blessed day! 😊
Great recipe!! Yes, the rocking of your diish on the stove was very distracting.
So sorry for the extra sounds. I have tried to place a pot holder under dishes since this to correct the issue. Thanks for watching and your input; have a blessed day!!!
I love cooking videos, it just takes way too long to watch
Real cooking doesn’t happen in a nanosecond. 😉 Feel free to advance the video as you like or according to your skill level. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a blessed day. 😊
Don't get me wrong it's a great recipe for Hawaiian bread, just didn't need to watch you cut each bun, wouldn't hurt to jump ahead a bit, you have a blessed day😊@@stephsstovebystephaniethom7249
While you are cutting, it sounds like you’re going all the way to the bottom 🤷🏼♀️
I may have hit bottom once, it does happen. 😁 However, you only want to go about 3/4 way into the roll. If you go too far, no worries. It will still be delicious. 😋 Thanks for watching and your question. Have a blessed day and a Merry Christmas!!! 🎄
This looks amazing. If I may make one suggestion which is not about the dish...from now on, you may want to remove your bracelets. The constant clanking was so distracting and it's a shame because, after all your effort, the last thing you want is for your jewelry to overshadow your dishes.
I appreciate your tip and I will most definitely keep that in mind for future videos. This recipe is delicious and I don’t want anything to overshadow the video either. 😊 Thanks for watching and your suggestion; I truly appreciate it! Have a blessed evening!!!
I think it's the dish rocking on stove top
It definitely could have been. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your input! Have a blessed evening!!!
Bracelets annoying.
So sorry they were distracting. 🥲 Thanks for watching and your feedback. Have a blessed day!
I just started watching your videos today. They sounded very good. However, you have so much clutter on your stove and count it drives me crazy. You shouldn't need to mix everything on your stove top. Just saying.
This was filmed during the holidays and there was more out than normal; like most folks. I film on my stove to show the best angle with the camera. In a regular day, I don’t do this. Thanks for watching and your comment. Have a blessed day!!!
They're called ingredients and if you watched, they were removed as the recipe progressed. What needs to happen is you need to step back and ask yourself, what is it in me that she's stepping on? Start there.
This woman thought out the video and took all of the steps to execute the recipe. Until you can do this with your better suggestion? keep it to yourself.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 For the recipe and flawless presentation.
@mov1ngforward Thank you for your kind words, support, and encouragement! I appreciate you!!! So glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching and I hope you have a blessed day!!!
