This was probably the best set of the entire tournament, these players are both some of the best in the whole world. Shadics corrin is an actual work of art, always glad seeing the kid succeed
There’s so many contenders. This, Cosmos vs. Sparg0, Shadic vs. Sonix, Cosmos vs. Big D, and of course ShinyMark vs. Sonix. Super hype tournament across the board
Shadic definitely deserved this win defeating Sparg0 is not easy at all and he did it with corrin Im really happy he was able to take the set. This match was so epic so glad that I play swordies because I learned a lot.
Very unfortunate that Sparg0 got called out for his classic habit under pressure at the end, the roll away to create space. It brings to mind the same ending vs Skyjay in Losers Finals of Collision 2023. Still, he played his heart out this season, I think we can still expect a strong ranking from him and even better performances in the back half of the year.
Sparg0 gets away with quite a few bad habits because so many people try to out aggro him and end up dying for over extending. Noticing players like Hurt that play much more methodically punish his tendency to mash his way out of disadvantage

They are indeed super good but have at least one or two elite smash habits that barely anybody punishes because they try to beat X top player at their own game more than not. Sparg0 is the best masher so trying to OUT mash him is duuumb. Shadic just punished his dumb options and stuck with his own gameplan.

I absolutely love shadic but I’m also a pretty huge tweek fan 😂 It will be interesting to see the next time they play. It’s been amazing watching Shadic constantly improve and also start to defeat his demons 1 by 1 this year against light, Lima, Dabuz and now Spargo. This kid is insane.
As someone who played Shadic in a tourney in South Texas years ago, he was but wee lad and still served me like it was nothing. Seeing him all grown up now is kinda trippy to me. He's a kool doode. He's buds with some of the guys that play Smash here in Laredo.

Even after playing Corrin for all of that time, Sparg0 could not stop Shadic. I knew it was only a matter of time before Shadic got his win. People saw Shadic lose to Sparg0 ONE TIME and then pretended like Shadic couldn't do it ever lol.
Shadic was at a higher level during collision in comparison to LMMM, so the collision sets were more relevant. I would also add that shadic was definitely outplayed at collision, but he was not totally dominated and definitely had potential for future sets (like now).

As a corrin main I can tell you what if you do it right to the corner the fsmash can cover the full roll get up of any character too and if they roll you will always hit with the tipper is pretty nice :)
Why can’t people parry pin? It isn’t that hard and usually leaves Corrin wide open. As a necessary kill move for the character, you’d think more players would answer it back.
It's sound easier than you think. But first of all pin came at a diagonal angle and people usually not ready for that. The other thing is that if platform was involved or if the pin hit the ground. Corrin can just jump up and her jump actually has intangibility. Not to mention Pin is frame 4 on ground. Even if you know it's coming it's not as easy as you think.

Absolutely the best set of the tournament, grands was cool but the game 4 comeback and clutch gameplay from shadic just pushes this ahead for me

Usually, Sparg0 is the one with the clutch gene. But what happens when your opponent also has the clutch gene? 🤔
Fsmash as corrin at ledge seems pretty strong going to start using that
