What a sublime MaruBihag! Thank you for enabling us to listen to these unforgettable gems. Thank you Arunji for the details of the concert. Vasantiji's harmonium accompaniment is exquisitely matched to the singing too. Kishoritai is brilliantly alive in these precious recordings🙏
Thank you so much Mr Shiladitya Banerjee for uploading this superbly sung raag Marubihag by Kishori tai. It’s said that she sung this raag in a concert only a couple of times during her long and illustrious career. Kishoritai’s presentation of Marubihag is unlike any other by any other artist. Thanks once again
Looking for this Raag from Taai since a very long time. Thank you so much Shiladityaji. Bahut bahut dhanyawad. God bless you for doing this selfless service to the hindustani music lovers🙏🙏🙏👍👍
And yet another bit of vintage Kishori. Many many thanks. Nothing like Kishori in the time of Corona :-) A wonderful way to spend the lock down !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tranquil sadness seems to be the mood throughout. No frills, no swara jugglery, no throat acrobatics, no gimmicks. Her restraint and concentration are admirable. And what a soft yet strong voice! Bless you,Shiladtya Mukherjee for presenting this unsurpassable Maru bihag.
Gaurav Misra Kaushiki-ji is very young , very promising. But she still has a long path to travel and search before we can think of comparing her with Kishori-ji , - if that is what you have meant.
This concert was sung at Mangalore in 1965. Vocal support by late Kausalya Manjeshwar, harmonium by Vasanti Mhapsekar. This is one of the two she sang in her entire life. Hopefully I shall upload the other some day, of which an excerpt was played in my discourse "Rarely Heard Kishori Amonkar" you can find on RUclips.
Kyaaaa baaat hain.... ye devi jo bhi gati hain ... sub se uper hi hota hain... kyu ki ye devi alag sochti hain... aur keval laga hi nahi balki usmain khubsurti dalto hain
Everything is temporary only kishori tai is permanent. ❤

Do you know by any chance when and where was this recorded?
