@@LightLottie street dogs are a lot more loyal and grateful for what they get , a lot of animals are out there just like her and I had many street dogs that where amazing and loyal without ever training for that behaviour,imagin thinking Ur saved from the streets only to get sent to space (they wanted to poison her they knew she wouldn't get back ) that's just cruel and the other dogs that follow never got remembered even after the protest and outcry about how it was aktuell banned to send animals to space to die without return,

God the fact that the scientists loved her. The fact that one of them took her home with him before her flight so she could play with his kids. The fact they kissed her nose and wept and told her goodbye as they sent her up. Breaks my heart man. Rest well, Darling Laika.

Sad about this is she was destined to die , she was a stray they know she would die and Prisoners her food so she would´t starve suffercate or Dehydrate , the poisoning would have been painfull to so no Point in that , but she died of Stress and overheating , they dient Tell the public that she was gona get killed anyhow because it was an outrage at the time After the experimentation on animals like the two Header dog but russian dient care it got forbidden later when the Dokument Released People Protesten against Further Experiments Sendung animals to Space to die , but by that time 6 other dogs died for These Experiments and a veriaty of other animals , and other states did without so this was just sad and usless deaths ,
iirc Laika was taken in because the dog that was Meant to go in the rocket was already pulled out from the experiment bc the researchers got attached so by saving one dog they needed a replacement which was Laika :')
