I named my dog after her when I was 5 years old and it’s been over a decade since I thought about the original Laika, I’d almost forgotten that I named mine after another dog. I thought after 15 years or so, this story would have less of a grip on me but here I am in my 20s ugly crying over both a dog I loved and one I never met. They’re both chasing comets now.
