Cody is an awesome guy. I remember years ago he was tuning a friends Camaro, and we were there till like 3am run after run. Ended up making 1150hp at the wheels. I'm glad he is getting the recognition he deserves.

What's weird is with the clamp down coming on internal combustion engines I'm scared that we're at the peak of performance right now. If things continue the way they are in 10 years the government will probably outlaw gas engine cars from racing at all. I hope I'm wrong though

Hey something similar happened to be once years ago; I had a nitrous back fire blow an inlet tube off while putting down mid 6 second passes. That was 1/8th mile at the time though 😂

Scariest thing I’ve ever done, I can’t imagine how that would feel now! Congrats Cody and Cynthia. I Miss you guys and glad to see things are going well. It’s unthinkable that cars like these are capable of running 6’s!!! Can’t wait to see the future for this beast…

Wow Cody Phillips I haven’t heard that name in years! I remember watching this Supra back in the day! Him and Ryan woon in their supras. Back in those days the turbo to have was the GT88R and 1,600 hp was preposterous. Look how fast they going now!

I remember when Cody initially had the car built, painted quicksilver and done by Wide Open Throttle and was teaming with Ryan Woon. One of the first 8 second 6spd cars around. Nice to see him still pushing the envelope with the car all these years later.

I have a 1500hp street daily ss sedan and with that hp I have a driveshaft loop. One of my worst nightmares of breaking one of those at high speeds

Maryland tracks do make engines run very well though. I live less than half an hour drive from Cecil so that’s my home track and I always run better at Cecil County or MIR than I do at Atco, Englishtown, Atl etc. sub 300ft DA definitely helps!

Sorry if this is a dumb question. What does the "IRS" record mean? So the current record is 6.8 seconds for the 1/4 mile?Is that just for Supras or is that including the guys that have those crazy Vipers, Huracáns, etc.

The race that he was at was suppose to be world cup final, import vs dem. But was canceled because of covid so they held another race call hail Mary in place of it. One of the best preped tracks in the US
