- We went back to the drag strip today to chase down this silly 8 second pass in the Rat Rod Supra. All though we got super close, I failed at getting this thing off the starting line fast enough!!!

@@darrinjames2876iridium are not great for many setups becuase the electrode is usually tiny and they are not designed to be gapped. I know from experience, work great in some mild street cars with good ignition coils but some engines hate them and run like shit.

@@darrinjames2876 iridium is overpriced and not the best for high hp. Copper plugs conduct waaaaaay better and while you do have to change them 3x as often, who cares, they are only $2 each vs iridiums $12 each

@8:21 that 2 step sounds way more rowdy on this attempt. I’m assuming this is where max boost comes into play. You can really see on the in car Cleeter cam how much it’s dancing around out there by the view out the window. The calibration on Cleet’s butt dyno is spot on. That poor car is wondering what it did to deserve a determined Cleeter session. The next video Ratt Rod Supra video sounds like an interesting one. Little Ripper looking all slick sporting the shades out there.
Cleeter has the look of determination while rowing the gears, never misses that grimace lol. Good times.

This brings back PTSD. I used to have a 900hp Supra nearly 15 years ago when that was considered insane. That car used to dance all over the place. Lots of close calls with that car!
That car is a death trap at those speeds. I worry about lack of safety measures in that car as it is carrying front tires barely on the ground to half track and walking around the whole way.

Love this supra content, also you gunna get Ty to throw some chassis bracing in mullet while he does the rear, remove a lot of that twist when making those low 6 second passes.
That's the reason they decided to do a full floater rear with all new 4 link. No more stock torque boxes etc
@@haydenroyer still needs a lot of bars added to stop the chassis, Kevin has mentioned it and Ty agrees I think it just the effort and time todo a lot of work. Full tube chassis car would be ideal.
There’s only so much he can about that. The car has a very long wheel base and a single (long) frame rail. With the power he is trying to put down plus the weight of the car the car really needs double frame rails. That’s what Kevin was talking about on Coops channel about tearing the whole car apart.

Coming home from a hard day, cleet and the boys have been part of my routine to unwind.
I like the rat rod supra because the facial expressions cleet makes while driving, is pure enjoyment! Cant fake those smiles!

My 1988 k1500 just blew up on my way into work. I'm up in Massachusetts for work. But live in SC, so it's kind of a bummer.
