luigis position in the cutscene likely isnt updated. Similar things can happen on quicksand if you jump out to another piece of land, and since neither marios AI or LUIGIs will go into quicksand, it fades to black and warps either you or luigi to eachother. This could potentially cause glitches in a few spots, but any potential value is not known yet. If this could desync mario and luigis position enough to escape any cutscene, alter collision or deload obstacles, itll be huge (say, reaching the conductor early, unlocking either bro ball or bro tornado early, skipping any of the bond can, skipping any minor fight,etc.) the same glitch can happen on shipshape of mario and luigi desyncing on shipshape, but unfortunately, very little there can be messed with in this fasion
Yeah, you're right. It's obvious that collisions have improved compared to Dream Team and Paper Jam, because I've tried the methods of going out of bounds in those games and they don't work. For now, it doesn't seem like there's going to be a method to make strong glitches. We'll have to explore the game's movements thoroughly to see what can be done. For now, the only thing I've seen is that it's possible to press the menu and the A button to make the jump happen after the menu closes. Hopefully with this, if there was some way to "delay" the animations, we could do crazy things.
Minor glitch I encountered: when you stand on the very corner of an ice block and hammer it while facing away from said corner, the ice block will move while you're still on it, allowing you to "ride" the ice block. Dont know how practical it is tho
I discovered another one (maybe I'll upload it soon) in which it seems that Luigi, depending on which buttons he presses, can try to use the hammer when he jumps.
