Aye. Many otherwise good SCPs have a simple oversight that basically invalidates all dread they are supposed to provide. Anyway, it's a good read and I've enjoyed it nonetheless.
If the pillars/chains containing the Scarlet King fail, if all else fails they could smash the TeleForce while the king is in our universe and reverse him/it into nonexistence
Clef says that to him they are not the same, but that he deliberately left enough clues to lead a person to believe either option. Plus there is no canon.
Scarlet King is actually the conscious mind of Azathoth trying to "awaken" into our reality. Doing so would instantly erase all of existence as we know it and replace it with Azathoth's vision of reality. That's how I like to see it.
Theory: What if The Traveler's world that Nickola describes as perfect is the same perfect world that SCP-507 visited and also described as perfect, or is at least related somehow.
Nudhul The vending machine can't take substances from parallel universes, it has to exist in our universe for it to dispense at the machine. Probably some aliens created it and then killed themselves after drinking it because life became pointless after that.
This SCP is top tier. I'm always a fan of SCPs that have multiple versions of the main document. The robotic voice you used for the warning was very fitting. Tesla's story was expertly written.
I mean to be fair XK-Class "end of the world" scenarios are everywhere in the foundation so... Maybe it IS normal XD Though wow this one is so dangerous it got a whole new class "YK"
@@Xi-Xi-Kaisoku XK class is a world ending event e.g. the sun blows up, YK is a world restructuring event e.g. reality is completely rewritten so that the principles of physics are changed in an unknown or detrimental way.

One question: why not build a second one? Why not build a second one that is set to detonate in the past? When entropy is flipped, it'll flip even the entropy in this machine and as time goes backwards at an unbelievable rate it'll hit that moment you set the machine to detonate in the past. Since it's entropy was reversed by the pervious one, it's new reaction would be the correct type of entropy yet keep possibly the infectious law nature that the other one had. Canceling out the first one with the second one. Effectively taking the universe back in time a bit. However, because the devices were built in a different dimension, the effects of reversing time with something that wasn't present in time in that past could change events. There certainly would be a machine of unbelievable technology suddenly appearing in the past. There is one problem...what is the nature of the dimensional tunneling device. If it's reaction is effected too then this device would spread from one dimension to the next wiping out all 7 that were traveled to. Only if this is the case would we have to worry about how effective this anti-bomb bomb is. It would honestly have to be construed in a different dimension and the builder would have to stay in that dimension so he doesn't take the machine apart due to the reverse flow. But as I said, if it can effect even dimension tunneling devices, unless it's unarmed, it's game over for even the Watcher. Oh there would also have to be a note that explains how to keep this from happening again. Namely building the machine that started this to begin with. If not, then we'd have a possible time loop. :S
One would have to find the device for going back and forth between dimensions. Communicate the idea to the people of the other dimension. BUT we really should get this to the foundation, as a possible solution. I really don't want to perish in a reversed time flow situation in about 200ish years.
Jesus Christ. This is by far my favourite SCP. I've been on a binge of your videos over the past couple of weeks. You portray these stories better than anyone else I've heard. Your videos are so captivating and believable. On a separate note, this SCP would be incredible as a short film or part of an SCP tv series.
Wait so if the device could reverse time and everything that developed along with time, so it should reverse its own existence. Which means it should stop working after its existence is gone
It has materials from different universes, time might not work the same for those materials. In fact, this could be the reason it works, certain materials would affected by time, as you mentioned, but others would not, different unknown properties working together perpetuating the reaction
From what I know about vacuum decay, it is irreversible once started and would erase both itself and everything around it at a speed of or more than the speed of light. The activation likely does nothing but release the core from self-containment.
@TheVolgun Just wanted to thank you for all the SCP content, I find the universe fascinating but due to reduced vision reading long text is very taxing. Simply the best SCP readings anywhere, bravo sir!
@Albert Belle the watcher wanted to see a universe implode, the stranger gathered them in the first place. The watcher cut off access to his universe, but that still left the remaining six accessible, including the two that held the miracle substances that created the reaction.
It seemed to suggest that he couldn't take it to a universe that can't support life because the forces would react, he realized how messed up our universe is because... I mean, think of the Scarlet King and all the other fucked up stuff even in space and other dimensions in the SCP universe. I think it's fair to assume responsibility and not pick others with life, and ours has so hellish shit that it needs to be purged.

The creativity and historical fiction with good research, plus the way the story is presented... I thought I knew what every scp is going to be like, however this blew my mind. Thanks.
Marcus O. But he states his decision was to kill his universe rather than the kind one. Surely to option of 'kill a universe with no life' would come up. Hell, the traveler being sad doesn't make sense because even if Tesla wanted to kill our universe the traveler would have realised he can dispose of it.

(So it's probably too late to do something like this, but I feel inspired. Also, apologies if this is a bit hokey) Standing in a place we could only hope to call a city, inhabited by beings we can only call people, a child plays in a public park. Surrounded by the most vibrant plant life a human eye could witness, the child stares up at something that stands out from the greenery. It's a statue of a standing man. He looks strange, wearing clothing the child does not recognize, the hair on his head a little disheveled, and the hair above his lip short but neat. He stares out towards some unseen horizon, a notebook tucked under his arm. Though determination is in his eyes, his face is sorrowful and distant. The statue does not mesh with the beautiful spires and what we might call trees that surround it, but nevertheless is an icon of dignity. As she stands staring at the statue, the child's grandfather approaches her, smiling down at her, then looking up to the statue. "Grandfather," the child asks, bringing a hand and pointing figure up towards the statue's head, "who is this man? And why does he look so funny?" The grandfather smiles softly. "This man came a long time ago from another world to help us with a project that would have made a lot of people happy." "What happened?" his granddaughter asks, with the innocent curiosity known by all children in every world. "Well..." The grandfather struggles to find the words. How does one explain to a child the maliciousness of others, malice that was unknown to their people? He opts, instead, for the simple answer. "It didn't work out. There was an accident. But this man, he helped us, kept us safe. He saved us." "Where is he? Is he still here? Can we say thanks?" The grandfather considers his grandchild's questions. Few spoke about this event. It was too painful, too shameful. The sting of betrayal brought on by a well-meaning naivete that almost cost them all everything. He pauses again, and sighs. "He's gone." He quickly clarifies, "he went back to where he came from." "Oh." She nods once, and after staring down at the base of the statue, looks up at its face. With a smile and a giggle of childish mirth, she says "he was still funny-looking, though." "That's not nice," the grandfather says gently, his voice full of love and warmth. He looks back up at the statue, and thinks of the man who sacrificed everything to save his world at the cost of his own. To give him and his daughter, granddaughter and all those who would follow them another three hundred years of time to live, to know love and grow old with the families they had made. It was a decision and a sacrifice too enormous to comprehend, even for his people. His eyes drift down to the plaque affixed to the base, embossed with the words *THE VISITOR, TESLA* He smiles, then looks down at his granddaughter. "Let's go back and see your mother," he says, placing a gentle hand on her back and guiding her away. It was a modest memorial, the kind he would have wanted for him and his world, the Traveler thought, as he took his granddaughter's hand and led her back home.
It has been theorized that the Big Bang has happened before, and could happen again after the Big Crunch, when our universe will begin to shrink to a single point, then expand outward again. Could 682 withstand the formation of the Cosmos?

I notice there are a lot of comments saying "oh, just dump it in an alternate universe" see the problem with that is the effect is how this scp affects space and time. It could be possible that it could very well draw parallels to intersect with ours from the sheer force, which could also be cumulative. So tossing it in another universe would just delay the effect and also make things worse. By worse I mean intersecting parallels. Imagine a universe intersecting with ours where instead of wildfire and hurricane evacuations on the news and radio, there are 682 evacuations, or a universe half devoured by the sarkic cult intersects, for about 2 hours to a year before we get sucked into oblivion.
Teleforce was not the 'death ray'. It was nicknamed 'the peace device' a means to prevent war from progressing by bringing down enemy aircraft. These were in his notes.
Which is the insane ramblings of a man extremely clever in one way but incredibly stupid in another. Which is not to denigrate Tesla, but he did famously did not understand the world. Thinking that any weapon would stop or slow war is a misunderstanding of how politics and war work. It would simply change methods and political calculus, and probably empower whichever imperial striver had access to it to wage wars of conquest if it was not diffused across every nation, a political impossibility.
This SCP literally affects me. I simply cannot fully comprehend its contents no matter how many times i listen to it. Im like "damn i wanna know it!" and after listening im like " huh....what was it?"

If it altered the flow of time to reverse...wouldn't it go as far as the exact moment the omega was created then time would continue as normal? It wouldn't maintain it's affect beyond the point where it existed so really wouldn't the universe be locked eternally within that 300 year cycle from when it was created to when it detonated? Repeating forever?
Am I the only one who listens to these readings when I'm in bed as I'm trying to sleep? The longer they are, the less I have to pick up my phone and put on the next video :D Thank you TheVolgun for the sweer dreams!
There isn't one, but the basic idea, is that the further down the alphabet you go, the worse it gets, like a CK scenario means humans are still alive, but have been changed in some fundamental way, where as, a ZK scenario is the end of The Universe, all life within, and reality as we know it. SCP 2700 qualifies as YK because it doesn't destroy REALITY, but The Universe is fucked.
I love that the reversal of the big bang condencing all of reality into a superdense superhot microscopic point can only be said with 100% certainty to "maybe kill 682."

honestly at this point there are many SCPs in containment and semi-containment that can take care of this fairly easily. reality warpers, dimensional hoppers, etc etc. its kinda weird knowing that a existence ending bomb is trivialized in this fiction.

*But that would waste it when it could just end this one.*
Aye. Many otherwise good SCPs have a simple oversight that basically invalidates all dread they are supposed to provide. Anyway, it's a good read and I've enjoyed it nonetheless.
Because Tesla WANTS the bomb to destroy his universe
Fermi paradox. Look it up. Addendum: SCP is just stupid for thinking that so few universes could support life.
A universe without our flow of time works too.
If the pillars/chains containing the Scarlet King fail, if all else fails they could smash the TeleForce while the king is in our universe and reverse him/it into nonexistence
Ooooor smash it in the alternate reality he's stuck in? Less death on our parts. :P
Clef says that to him they are not the same, but that he deliberately left enough clues to lead a person to believe either option. Plus there is no canon.
Clef is also possibly Satan, so take everything he says with a few truckloads of salt.
Scarlet King is actually the conscious mind of Azathoth trying to "awaken" into our reality. Doing so would instantly erase all of existence as we know it and replace it with Azathoth's vision of reality. That's how I like to see it.

Could so many SCPs be connected? 🤔
Nudhul The vending machine can't take substances from parallel universes, it has to exist in our universe for it to dispense at the machine. Probably some aliens created it and then killed themselves after drinking it because life became pointless after that.
Couldn't they strap it to 507 and wait for a dislocation event?

it's so weird that dr. miller just reads this off and he's like, "well, just another day in the foundation"

I think we all underestimated exactly how much he disliked Edison.
I didn't see anyone opening up an empty universe for the man and all he could do was be sent back and had to take his invention back with him cause he couldn't leave it there. there were no options Tesla couldn't open universes like doors in a hallway.
Maybe since it was only stabilized with those two universe elements it had to go to one or it would immediately implode and that wouldn't really give them time to check for life or not
@@lastofthe4horsemen279 Dude you screwed the story up so badly lol.

(So it's probably too late to do something like this, but I feel inspired. Also, apologies if this is a bit hokey)
Standing in a place we could only hope to call a city, inhabited by beings we can only call people, a child plays in a public park.
And why does he look so funny?"
The grandfather smiles softly. "This man came a long time ago from another world to help us with a project that would have made a lot of people happy."
"What happened?" his granddaughter asks, with the innocent curiosity known by all children in every world.
"Well..." The grandfather struggles to find the words. How does one explain to a child the maliciousness of others, malice that was unknown to their people? He opts, instead, for the simple answer. "It didn't work out. There was an accident. But this man, he helped us, kept us safe. He saved us."
"Where is he? Is he still here? Can we say thanks?" The grandfather considers his grandchild's questions. Few spoke about this event. It was too painful, too shameful. The sting of betrayal brought on by a well-meaning naivete that almost cost them all everything. He pauses again, and sighs.
"He's gone." He quickly clarifies, "he went back to where he came from."
"Oh." She nods once, and after staring down at the base of the statue, looks up at its face. With a smile and a giggle of childish mirth, she says "he was still funny-looking, though."
"That's not nice," the grandfather says gently, his voice full of love and warmth. His eyes drift down to the plaque affixed to the base, embossed with the words
*THE VISITOR, TESLA*
He smiles, then looks down at his granddaughter. "Let's go back and see your mother," he says, placing a gentle hand on her back and guiding her away. It was a modest memorial, the kind he would have wanted for him and his world, the Traveler thought, as he took his granddaughter's hand and led her back home.
