I feel the same. After all, an element is defined by its number of protons and there is no gap in the periodic table from 1 to 118. Anything above 103 is so unstable that they decay in matter of seconds.
That is to assume that there is nothing weird in science or a rule/law or thing we haven't discovered yet, or something from other dimensions that we can't comprehend. I'm completely fine with it, but I do wish their was more elaboration. Like "the element is unknown and and not on the periodic table, BUT, it bares a strong resemblance to [insert chemical of choice here]" so even if the chemical, substance, or material is unknown, alien, or foreign the audience can still somewhat understand the function of it or reasoning behind it.
Smite I keep thinking the same thing myself. I understand chemistry a little. There are no unidentified elements, and if we ran into one, we would count it's atomic makeup and no matter how far out, give it a spot on the periodic table.
This reminds me a lot of the non Euclidean museum featured in the podcast Archive 81. Great entry though! The Broken God files are some of my favourites. Sounds like Jimmy's looking to get a Class A dropped in his coffee.
This SCP feels like a midpoint between the _Amnesia_ series _(Dark Descent_ and A Machine for Pigs especially) and _The Room_ and its sequels. Love the combo!

This sort of reminds me of the Winchester mystery house, it's a true story and has been turned into a museum. I don't remember the story completely but it kinda goes like: the Winchester family owned a firearms company, the wife suffered greatly when her infant daughter passed away followed by the death of her husband a few years later. She then moved to a large 8 bedroom estate with the fortune granted to her upon her husband's death. Her reasons for expanding the estate are not known for certain, but it's suspected that she felt she was haunted by the people killed by the firearms her family supplied. The ghosts commanded her to expand the house to better accommodate them, and for over 40 years she continuously built onto the house, sometimes making staircases and doors that lead to nowhere. Now and back then the number 13 was regarded as an unlucky number, yet the number 13 is used in designs throughout the house. I've actually been to the Winchester house, although it has some similarities to this story, the house I visited was beautiful. And thankfully, not mixed with human flesh and machinery.

Wait, if we assume the kids were like 5 or 6 when he came back in 1916, by the time WW2 started they should had been around 27 or 28, right?
oh no... i didnt realize or think of that. i was wondering why the remains of simon in the bed were referred to as just a male instead of a male child.. because they werent children anymore. oh noooo that makes it wooooorseee
His machine is a combination of Monster House and a Borg cube
I swear the people who write these are greatly creative and imaginative and I can not wait tell they make a movie and or a tv seires for them. I mean come on who wouldn't want to see this
That bit with Jimmy is just precious. Loved this.
Lovecraft and Mrs. Winchester had a literary baby - this is it.
This one legit gave me chills. Such amazing writing and narration.
Reminds me of Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
The rats in the walls
Bruh I was half asleep when you said "Stop laughing Jimmy." You can't do that to me, man. Come on!
Not gonna lie, kinda getting tired of the "unknown element not on the periodic table "
Or possibly some weird element that has no electrons
thats an ion
or a lone neutron
Smite I keep thinking the same thing myself. I understand chemistry a little. There are no unidentified elements, and if we ran into one, we would count it's atomic makeup and no matter how far out, give it a spot on the periodic table.
“They do not question the fresh meat served for dinner”
THAT GAVE ME SUCH HARD CHILLS-
This reminds me a lot of the non Euclidean museum featured in the podcast Archive 81.
Great entry though! The Broken God files are some of my favourites. Sounds like Jimmy's looking to get a Class A dropped in his coffee.
Thanks!
The best part is, my name is Jimmy and I was laughing....
One of the more well-written SCP entries I've seen thus far. Bravo.
To sum this up, he basically made the heritek version of the occurrence border, for those of you who watch The All Guardsman Party
This SCP feels like a midpoint between the _Amnesia_ series _(Dark Descent_ and A Machine for Pigs especially) and _The Room_ and its sequels. Love the combo!
I had a nightmare where Todd in the shadows was either in or worshiping this SCP while doing a pop song review
Todd Howard?
Skyrim Reremastered. Now ported onto the broken god
Bob Walsh ah a fellow mr metokur fan
I had a nightmare where Todd told me sweet little lies.
the video would start with him playing SCP-012 on the piano, followed by screaming and bleeding
This is always such a good listen that I always come back to it again and again.
The entry is well written and as always, narration imo perfectly captures the tone of the entry.
Spectacular job Volgun!
I am the GABGOGABGALOB

simply delishious
I've been on a 2 week long motorcycle cross country road trip and your videos have been keeping me company via my helmet headset. You rock dude! Thank you for giving me something awesome to listen too!
“Why didn’t you do your homework”
“Well uh... you see”
I freaking love the background music. It goes from eerie to dark to somber, perfectly fitting the theme of the SCP foundation. Well chosen!
Hey, stop laughing Jimmy! You darn rascal.
I really do love this video. This is among one of the first few SCP videos I ever watched. It legit gave me nightmares for a few days after. This one is so good.
God dammit Jimmy
wow, what a story, the creativity of SCP writers amazes me at every turn.
Heh, "WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT" is going on here?!
*_*Walks out in shame*_*
I recently came back to this scp again and i keep forgetting how well done this one is.
STOP LAUGHING, JIMMY
"Shipped to London hospital" Ah yes, the one and only hospital in London
...is this Amnesia: a Machine for Pigs? I'm not hating, I like both this and that game. But I can't unsee the parallels.
It was intentional. That was the author’s main inspiration and it was based on his disappointment of the game.
This was so much deeper than anticipated. Awesome. Truly inspired 😁
Yeah could just not stop listening this peace... damn i would like to meet the original author... with two armed guards that is :D
Hellsong89 good call haha
This is one of my all time favorite SCPs and the delivery was excellent!
I'm a simple agent. I hear "Church of the Broken God", I like.
That’s it, that’s the Evil Resident
I am pretty that any unit using the phonetic alphabet for WTF is not the outfit you want to be in.
🤣🤣🤣💀
This one was freaking amazing! It felt like an actual novel, so wonderfully Lovecraftian with the descent into madness.
24:46 when you're getting ready to fight the ender dragon
the "stop laughing, Jimmy" at the end really just amplified the immersion factor of this reading lmaooo
"Stop laughing Jimmy." Best part to make me feel this was actually in cannon.
Holy fuck this is…. wow. Not lying when I say this seems like a piece you would analyze in English class. It’s incredible
What was will be
What will be was
The worm loves us
And we love the worm
Stellaris XD
This was really cool. I wonder if the author was inspired by Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs.
41:57 "Stop laughing Jimmy" Hahah what was that about?
He said “I am the trap” right before
I absolutely love your narration style. Please keep going!
*every time I take a step* oh worm?
*shaking a murky jar fulla teeth* Honestly? Mood
Scott Reeves I'm on mobile
Scott Reeves jeez, why are you so butthurt lmao
haha nice, dab on the tumblrs
I love your pfp 🥺
This really is just the plot of Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs
