It's actually really good to have a dog of your own when you foster because they can teach puppies and traumatized dogs how to be a loved dog, in ways that we humans can't. ❤️❤️❤️
As a volunteer rescue and foster worker, I will admit that puppies are the cutest and most fun. But it is a ton of work! Adults and seniors need time to because they’re usually traumatized from their neglect, but puppies need to be disciplined from the gate because we need them to go on to their foster homes knowing a few basic rules! Three is actually the limit to a litter that will not make you insane. More than three and you’re going to need recuperation after those two months!
I once took in a pregnant mama who was about to pop, so that she would not go to the shelter. She had 11 puppies. Never in my life had I dealt with so much poop. But I'd do it all over again in a minute.
I wonder, doesn't the lack of a real mother lead to problems with behavior or socialization? Or is it enough for them to grow up with their siblings and meet adult dogs later?
@@amiapsychopat Fosters do not separate a mother from the puppies / kittens before 6 or 8 weeks depending on the breed. I have seen mothers absolutely exhausted by that time and once the puppies find their forever homes the mothers are so relaxed and actually learn how "to be a dog again". I would not be part of a system that purposely separated the mother from offspring but at that point they have had their shots, they have bonded and played, they will be spayed and neutered and they are ready. I think of it in dog's years... except that six weeks is more akin to the age of twenty when it comes to humans who just don't want to leave the nest! LOL
@@christinebutler7630 I would too! I'm very grateful that many DODO videos show both sides of fostering, taking care of a senior dog Etc. You don't want to only sell the joy and happy moments, you have to show the struggle. But it is in the struggle that we learn to give of ourselves!
@Officer Dibble All the time I get messages from guys like him asking me the same question. I wondered if this was a new pick up thing and I've never replied. Thank you for telling me this. What do they do to swindle women?
@Officer Dibble Wow--I know this happens on dating sites (a guy tried it with me) but not RUclips. How do you know he tried to hit on 70 women? He sounds like a predator.
Oh god, those puppies were so cute. Really liked the foster as well, she's great ^^ (sometimes people can come across as "look at me doing a great deed", but this person just seems awesome)
Beautiful....such a cuddly handful ❤️❤️❤️ You're such a treasure taking care of these pups with love and compassion. When it comes to sending them off, I'd probably be wailing!!!
If I had the honour and privilege and utter joy of taking care of tiny little pups I would be on cloud 9 and couldn't bear to be away from these little adorable heart stealers for even a pee break! Gosh, these babies are just gorgeous. You're so lucky.
I applaud anyone who can do this kind of thing. I could never do it myself, I've always found it easier to connect to animals then with people. If I tried, I would end up going, 'Ok. That's it. Forget the fostering, I'm just going to keep them myself. Just forget it.'
Rule six is the hardest one for me and it’s the hardest one for a lot of people obviously you put a lot of work and effort into fostering puppies and then just seeing them go to new owners is a heartbreaker
I know that it can be exhausting at times. But for me I think that's where I feel most alive!! We all can marvel at the innocence of life. It is what we do for the least of them!! Heart will see ❤️. When that happens the connection is everlasting. Miracles and blessings to you always 🙏🙏🙏
1:00 - I’ve watched Lady and the Tramp too many times as a kid, that’s the exact same sound Lady made when she was being made to sleep in the kitchen as a pup.
Omg…Chestnut reminds me of my son when he was little…fighting sleep to the bitter end…lol. These little puppy were just too stinkin cute and I would be a total sap and probably end up with all of them…❤❤❤. I’m so happy you found homes for them!!!
Seeing Chestnut trying to stay awake while his little legs are sliding down and he tries to spread his paws wider to stop as his eyes close is one of the most adorable things I have ever seen.
💕 Ohhh such irresistibly adorable angels! Their sweet faces, exquisite blue eyes, precious round bellies & happy little tails overwhelm my heart w/pure love & absolute joy! May each dear little pup, their foster Mom & their new families forever give & receive unconditional love beyond measure. 💕X🥰O💕X🥰O💕X🥰O💕
My baby girl had 9 puppies when she showed up pregnant at my mechanic shop. Lol they were an absolute handful but it was a wonderful experience. Now a full year later, they all have good homes and Mama girl is lounging around being a Shop dog
This reminds me of my dog. From a new born baby to a 12 yr old granny. Even tho i think i should have spend more time with her, she lived happily with us.
Those Gorgeous, Beautiful Babies' cuteness factor, without a doubt, exceeds the legal limits!! Nope, I'd be a major foster fail, but a big thank you, to the Saints who can!! ❤️❤️❤️💋
So so precious and adorable, you do a magnificent and loving thing fostering precious animals. God Bless everything you do for these Beautiful souls. 😍 😇😍
When we adopted our 2 doggies from a rescue, we kept the names the fosters gave them. Felt like the right thing to do, considering that they helped get them to the place where we could adopt them.
I love puppy breathe, their chubby tummies and the clumsiness until they learn how their feet and legs work. Then I still love them for the rest of their lives and mine. 💟🐕🐾🐾💟
@Officer Dibble There’s a heap of these desperadoes who I totally ignore always! Can’t believe that they think they’ll get a hook-up on RUclips? Great job from you, thanks!

Because my house is puppy damaged that’s for sure, but it’s also baby proof despite me having no children just a few chaos nuggets called puppies
This video is like 2 years late for me 🤣🤣🤣 The 2 Brothers and sister wasn't easy, but we couldn't part with them. The two brothers started fighting, and so that was an issue for months anytime there was excitement. With lots of love and training we got through it and all is well now. 🙏
I was perfectly fine and laughing about all the adorable “rules” of fostering right up till the cry part 😩🥺. It was all over for me. Loved this video and much appreciate the teach on all the efforts that go with fostering animals. With me my foster fails led me to a bigger apartment along with promises to myself that last one would be it. Yeah nah 😂🎉❤️😎.
Chestnut trying to stay awake is the best thing that i have seen today😂😂❤️❤️
I know right. He looked like a little robot slowing running out of juice hahaha.
I have to agree 👍🏻 💯 percent
Well, me trying to keep up with my studies and working on it till late evening looks exactly the same. 🤪
Hes literally powering down lol
Watching them grow is just too much sweetness.
It is very easy to get attached to little puppies, and so sad to see them go away. Proof that you have a loving heart.
@@donberry6079 taking them away from their mother or siblings sounds pretty messed up to me lol.

I will definitely follow these rules with my puppy. we should all take care of our dogs and respect because we don’t know when it’s their last
my cats been pissing and shitting on the walls since we moved house, decided to let it slide
