I've been looking forward to this game for a while. For someone who hasn't played a single minute of any Far Cry game this game will be fresh & new so thats an advantage for me personally. I'm glad its it own story & not completely tied to the films because 1st film way back win was awesome, 2nd film all this time later meh. I'm stoked just to explore Pandora. Another great vid my guy. I wish that they had implemented like a knife or something for human takedowns/melee attacks bc to me neyteri was just as iconic with her knife as she was with her bow, and you could have it as after completing your first hunt or something they give u a bow and a knife. But ig thats just a small nitpick, tho i suppose the devolpers wouldnt really want you getting too up close and personal with some of the rda enemies.

Didn't follow this game whatsoever, enjoyed the first movie for what it was and all that but I didn't know anything about the game that was coming. Sounds like it's pretty solid, and I did enjoy FarCry Primal a lot.

I dont understand when games make us create characters but the rest of the game is in 1st person. It would be better if all cutscenes would be in first person and when playing like exploring and combat, there should be an option to go first or third.
I personally like that you have to hunt for resources. It adds to immersion. Plus I love how they actually have animations for nearly everything. I find games that have a lack of animations for things takes me out of the experience a bit. It just adds a nice touch to when you have to hold a button sometimes.
Gotta agree with you there mate, this world is beautiful, but there seems to be a huge amount of open world admin to complete just to be functional e.g harvesting resources for ammunition, upgrades, unlocks etc

It's the Single player compliment to the Star Citizen MMO. It's got seamless travel from space to planet surfaces, no loading screens, gorgeous environments, an incredible A-list cast (Mark Hamill, Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson, John Rhys-Davies, Henry Cavill, Andy Serkis, Mark Strong, Ben Mendelsohn, and Liam Cunningham). Looking like a game of a generation.

i dont think a game needs to be "innovative" to be fun, look at Spiderman 2, there is nothing at all that is innovative or groundbreaking in that game but its easily one of the most fun and enjoyable games i've played this year
Is there any way to play in 3rd person? (Not just on mounts) If im playing an rpg I like to see a custom character and how it fits into the world not a pair of arms. I just cant feel immerse any other way.
Apparently each biome is bigger than the entire map in Division 2. There are 3 biomes in total, excluding the new areas that will be added with the dlc/season pass later next year. The game is huge. Not to mention the first biome will be like having two or three biomes/maps, as we get to explore the floating mountains.
The honest question here would be: *"Is it 'just' Far Cry but in Pandora"* Yes or no? We are talking about (modern) Ubisoft. To expect something different... seems like a reminder of that famous quote from Far Cry 3.

What I don't understand.. in the first movie we've been told that navi move above the ground, using trees because it's dangerous on the ground. Yes? And here I don't see a tree movement. All vids are about roaming the ground or flying.
I cannot recall this being said in the first movie. Moving along the roots of trees has its benefits, but since prey like Yerik (the deer looking thingies) live on the ground of the forest and the Direhorse cannot clim as well, I‘d say the Na‘vi spent a fair share of time on the ground. I believe the Na‘vi use the trees to avoid ground-level predators, since they avoid confrontation (and therefore having to kill them) as much as they can. Like Neytiri scolded Jake about making noises and don’t knowing what to do, that it was his fault the Viperwolfs had to die. I have noticed the lack of climbing trees as well and am as confused as you. I do hope they have included it, since it was even possible in James Cameron‘s Avatar: The Game and is a big part of moving through the forest for the Na‘vi. About the flying, I won‘t complain. When playing the before mentioned game, I spent hours flying into caves and under bridges - for those who know - I used fly through the gateway to the space where Beydamo stood and land right in front of him, instead of walking there, because I had figured out the ikran did indeed fit through there. So I‘m beyond excited to figure out the new flying mechanics, especially the aerial combat, since I have never played another game that featured aerial combat like that.

I really hope when you shoot an arrow to a human the arrow stays there and doesn’t disappear. It’s a small detail I would love to see.

Yeh you can customise it fully mate, including saddle, feathers, colour etc
Still feel like its such a wasted opportunity to not have this in third person.
It would be better if it had a third person option
That's one hell of a lot of fog when you're airborne, and a surprising amount of fog when walking around!
