In this VladTV exclusive, Michael Franzese spoke on running into Donnie Brasco during his time on the street. He said no one knew Brasco was undercover and it shocked everyone once they found out the true story.
Along with that, Franzese spoke on dealing with John Gotti, saying he was difficult to do business with and they had a few sit-downs. However, he still has respect for him.

He said Gotti was notoriously hard to do business with..Whenever a mafia guy says he likes someone, 'His a good guy" more often than not it means they want to put a bullet into the back of their head. The mafia was a cutthroat business hence Most mafia hits were done by close friends and aquaintences!

ᴏғғɪᴄɪᴀʟᴋɪɴɢᴢ But gotti is dead, do that wasn’t coded language. Plus this guy isn’t in the life anymore. Plus + he said he liked his family. Now while I won’t go as far as to assume he didn’t want to kill him at the time, the fact remains that Gotti wasn’t hit, and a personality lie his would have made him MANY enemies. If someone wanted him green lit, it wouldn’t have been difficult to get him hit

Michael had respect for John Gotti because he knew that Gotti would be a gangster whatever happened to him. John Gotti was Cosa Nostra to the bone, and even said so on tape. You talk to anyone who knew John Gotti on the street and they will tell you the same thing: John Gotti lived and died by the code of Cosa Nostra, and that is why, even in death, he commands respect.
