I wish they would give audio clips of examples. They talk about Wario's German voice and Luigi's different voice etc., but they don't let us hear it. They just move on.
Yeah, that would be like saying one company owns the ability to make a character jump. I saw a guy (probably a Sega fan) in the comments say they should of sued Nintendo for that, which would of been ridiculous, ruin the current game industry if they succeeded, (imagine all games not being able to control the camera now) and ruin Sega's reputation for having a Monopoly on that. I love Sega, but there's no defending that.
i was the one who originally discovered the fact that the metal mario texture was borrowed from an SGI Techdemo back in 2015, we had attempted to rip the disc of that demo (witch we had the only known iso of at the time) with no luck extracting it.
Mario Maker 2's story mode is severely underrated. I speedrun all levels and it's got some genuinely genius levels (and a lot of bad autoscrollers sadly but we don't talk about those)

There is a reference to super Mario maker 1 in smm2's story mode. The reference is seen with a level made by Gomba lover, and is a reference to Mary O's love of gombas, as seen in the tutorial sections of the first game

Imagine not being able to control the camera in all modern 3D games... That would suck. Oh, and they did recently update it with the N64 controller option. So you have to give Nintendo credit for supporting/fixing the game. Other companies (Rockstar) don't even give us that benefit sometimes...

Or atleast in europe as i live UK had a normal lovely pal region 30 FPS MK64 bowser with a red shell hit me into the first turning lap 1 and i fell into the tunnel and had a really unfair advantage and won with ease. Marios lose continuity it a great point for it having so many games star wars has a stiff one and i feel that ruines it a little. But with Mario its not hard core so you can have fun with all of his titles no matter how out there they are.

For it's time, honestly Super Mario 64 had a camera system that wasn't bad, and waaaaay better then literally every other 3D game at the time like Bubsy 3D, Resident Evil, and such. Heck, the 4/button system works better then some modern games. (Heck, some modern games rely on fixed camera positions.) I think you younger folk just got spoiled using a second control stick for all cameras now.
Many of us adults were children when Mario64 came out, so Mario games give us a sense of nostalgia and allow us to relive part of our childhood. Some of us also just like gaming, and Mario is a good franchise for both amateur and professional gamers.

@@waltersobchak7275 Super Mario Odyssey is actually very strategy based, you have to solve lots of puzzles and you have to learn how to use the controls correctly in order to do certain tricks that are vital to gameplay. Story isn't half bad, either.
