Smaller serving of fried rice. 3rd place: Very different Ramen than the other two, more meat and less Ramen noodles and broth. Wondering the name of the Japanese Rice you two buy and cook at home? I buy KOSHIHIKARI at Nakata Market of Japan.
Monta is fantastic and I’m not suprised it ended up at the top of your lis. It was created by James Beard Foundation winner Mitsuo Endo, who also has the restaurant Raku, which is a couple doors down from the Monta location in Chinatown.If you haven’t tried Raku, I recommend it. Be sure to try the chicken skewers.

Been to 2/3 of these ramen shops. Montana and Tatsu are neck and neck for me, preferring the shoyu type (Tokyo ). Tatsu has other great dishes, too. Thanks for reviewing all three locally owned places😊

Why do you keep calling the pork in the ramen char sui….the pork they use is more like a sliced pork roast…Char sui is barbecue pork usually red in color and sticky

Ramen Sora is my fav!! Monta was one of the og spots for ramen. Tatsu has a great menu, all three spots are great.
