Impressive dishwasher. I have a Kitchen Aid Superba that is 11 years old and still working strong but if it ever needs replacement I would consider this Maytag. I know none of the brand names are the original companies anymore - everything owned by Whirlpool. I see now that KitchenAid is owned by Whirlpool so maybe I already have a Maytag in a way - they use the same designs and slap a different badge on it and charge different depending on the name. Parts are so readily available so I will likely try to fix my KitchenAid myself if it ever acts up. Do these come in any other colors? I am getting tired of the Stainless Steel and wish they would bring back Harvest Gold or at least Almond. Nicely done video Drew. Need a video on clothes driers - Speed Queen and Maytag - I am looking for right side discharge for exhaust.

You are correct! Yes, this dishwasher comes in white and black, but not a black stainless unfortunately. I will be doing a dryers video soon!

@@marksappliance I see that Speed Queen is coming out with black as a choice for Washer and Dryer - what were they thinking???!!!!!!!!! Black is too dark for wash/dryer at least they should bring back the stainless steel choice. These days, some may even say that it is racist for a washer and dryer to be black. I think Speed Queen made a mistake on this. I think I will e-mail them about this, I want to see why they can't custom paint me a dryer Almond or Harvest Gold, such a pain to do it myself - take everything apart and take it for powder coat.

@@groovy1937I used to own a pair of sleek, shiny black Maytag Bravo 2008 W\D. I still own the dryer. My only gripe is the numerous scratches that have accumulated on that dryer. It looks so worn/used, unlike the showroom stud it used to be 16 years prior. I wonder if manufacturers choose specific colors based on how cost-effective one color may be against another or if they are starting or following national trends🤔.

@@wyzemann Oh I'm sure you are correct about the cost effectiveness - just paint everything white has to be the cheapest. I think they are afraid to make color trends but you know when a trend goes out of style - good way to sell more machines. I know the color trends of Brown, Avacado, Harvest Gold, Almond are out of style now but I still like Almond and a really miss the Harvest Gold. The "everything" stainless trend - I think that may be starting to wain a bit. However, we need more choice than just white. I guess it is like Henry Ford with the model T - any color you want as long as it it black. I guess I can take my machine apart and paint it but it is nice to use appliance enamel and you can't find appliance enamel for harvest gold anymore only almond, biscuit or white - or guess pay more and get powder coat with a nice choice of colors using the RAL color charts.

Impressive, but this test is not exactly new to me. The ability to eat a fully baked and iced cake is why I bought my Kenmore Ultrawash dishwasher back in 1998. Still going strong 26 year later, maybe I'll consider this model if mine ever kicks the bucket. But we all know virtually nothing built today will last 20+ years.

I don't think the question anymore is if it can clean the dishes, I think the better question is how long will the machine last after washing that cake and pizza?

Maytag units are junk. My LG worked for 5 yrs with the current drainage set up. Two Maytag units under 2 mos. can't hack it. Constantly have to empty out tray. Junk ABSOLUTE junk.

What cycle do you recommend running it at under normal conditions?

Hello! I typically just use the Auto Sense on my unit. I also like to use High Temp water as well.
