They would automatically assume they're having sex, which would just make the situation worse. Rent money? You must be kidding. It would be the talk of the town, school & church. Not me!! I had my oldest in 96 & my youngest in 2000. They would tell their friends no I'm can't do that because my mom is CRAZY & she don't PLAY!!! I had & still to this day have a great relationship with my girls. I wasn't as strict as my parents but there were rules. My youngest tried me a couple of times until she found out momma got hands and they're rated E for Everybody!!! I gave her the business one time & that put an end to her trying me. My oldest would just shake her head because she would tell her sister not to do it & to keep her mouth shut. A hard head makes a soft ass!!!

Their hearing and seeing problems cease to exist when they were watching us. My mom would come home acting as if she didn't know anything. She would let it add up! Then say you asking for it! When I finally get on you I'm gonna get you for everything you have done. I learned from example not experience! My sister kept her busy! But I learned the same tactic and applied them as needed to my own children. Even my adult son who is autistic. He understands facial expressions, voice command, and the possibility of discipline.

I had a white classmate that took her mother’s credit card and used it also. I am not sure how that was handled. I know that because of her rebelliousness her mom locked her in her room for days. She would try to complain about it to school personnel and they just told her that she should stop being so bad.

You were taught to respect them, your elders and yourself.

When he finally went to the store with her by himself he was wondering what I did to her. He said I almost had to wrestle the buggy from her hands lol. She wouldn’t let go for nothing lol 😂. Well at least until he reached the car. She took off running through Walmart one day and was hiding on a shelf. Let’s just say she learned her lesson after that lol 😂. I have always had a friendship with my mom, but not a PEER type of friendship. She, and my dad too, have always been “in charge.” They are great parents and always put loving me over having me like them.
