Nice story, Thanks! . . . After hosting the summer YWCA lodge in Chipita Park for a few years, my Iowa grandparents bought their 1-bedroom summer cabin on Bluebird Hill back in about 1964. Their 2 daughters and their families (including me!) vacationed there for decades. A few years ago, my cousin bought our family’s share of the property, and now he and his descendants regularly vacation there. Needless to say, we witnessed extraordinary changes to old W.P. ❤
I grew up in woodland park 65 to 75. What a good time was had .Mike Tipper was the sheriff when we had one for awhile Cripple Creek was that law.we used to park on main and drag race...no police to bother us.....
I was there from 63 to 75. Mike Tipper wasn't only law back then. My dad was Chief of Police back then, Parking on Main St. was fun. I don't remember too many drag races on Main St, but we sure tore up Kelly Rd.
You grew up there when you were 65-75 year old?
Ten years later and I'm the one and only comment
Not anymore
I have it covered for 2022!^
