1:42. SS Rex sirens
It was actualy a whistle but idk why it sounded like a siren
It’s not just the siren, but the horn is also blowing for some reason. I thought for sure a whistle, horn, and siren are on the same funnel/smokestack, but I could be wrong.
(late reply) you can tell the rex actually using whistle next to the horn at the beginning
I’ve been waiting for this! Nice to finally hear the Leviathans whistle and even the emergency horns from Tropicale, Qm2, and SeaBreeze. Thanks!

I was surprised to see and hear that the Gustloff had a steam horn, I thought that she would have had a air horn. It sounds like a Kockums 575 but I don't think that it's that make and model since there were other horn manufacturers at that time before Kockums/Leslie became dominant.

It’s funny because it was blowing one horn instead of all 4 horns at the same time. To be honest, I would think that “Rare,” would be a much better word for it.
