  • Rug hooking takes on a modern and contemporary vibe at Deanne Fitzpatrick Studio. It is a world of yarn, wool, colour, creativity and design for rug hooking and fibre artists. If you are driving by you will see a big sign directing the way to go to Deanne Fitzpatrick Studio in Amherst, Nova Scotia. It is a beautiful place both in real life and online. Deanne has written eight books about rug hooking and illustrated a children's book. Her Sunday letters about art, life and rug hooking take a deep reflective look at an artist's life. She is dedicated to making rugs that are unmistakably art and helping others do the same through her online teaching. With many solo exhibitions in public galleries, including the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and The Rooms, her art work is also in public and private collections all over the world. Visit her at www.hookingrugs.com and open your world to a whole new level of art, creativity and rug hooking. Our rug hooking videos teach you about the creative art and craft of hooking rugs with yarn and wool cloth. From her studio in Amherst Nova Scotia, Deanne Fitzpatrick offers a live rug hooking video every Thursday about the beauty of hooking rugs. Deanne has written eight books on rug hooking, and has exhibited her rugs widely in galleries. Her rugs are in collections around the world. hello, new fan here -after watching the Fruity Knitty podcast a few weeks ago, and have been watching your videos on and off since. I didn't even know about rug hooking besides that latch hook kit from a kid but anyway you are getting me more and more interested to get started and for now in the most basic ways/cheapest ways hopefully soon. But had to comment about how much I'm in love with the third rug you brought out, the one you went looking for. It's beautiful and reminded me of a certain Munch painting ( not the scream )
