One year ago today, I found the Mack LR McNeilus 17yd Rear Loader. In an effort to find it working again I woke up at 8 AM and searched the neighborhood for it. When I found this truck instead of the LR I was somewhat disappointed, but I saw it is a chance to get the first ever HD film of this truck on my channel. Plus I didn’t want to walk away empty-handed.
As it turns out, this is the drivers first week with LRS. Before coming here, he worked for Advanced Disposal and worked out in unincorporated Geneva and St. Charles. After Advanced lost the Geneva contract to LRS, Advanced had to let a number of employees go. But the hard-worker we see here decided to stay in the refuse industry and got a job with LRS! Provided that this is his first time working a yard waste route in three years, I’d say that he did a fine job! He cleaned up ALL spills and there was no bag to heavy.
As for the truck, it has one of the best sounds I think I’ve ever heard (in person). The driver really revved this truck a lot so props to him for putting on a great show! This is the truck that has been out for a number of weeks due to some hydraulic issues, which is why the white truck was working, which is actually a spare.

For those of you unfamiliar with my channel, I document refuse trucks and equipment around my area and wherever I travel.
That truck does sound great, and props to the driver for cleaning everything up. I felt for him in that first clip. I like that light bar on the back too, it's different! Nice catch on the curotto shot too, love the LR!
Yea this is one of the best sounding CCCs I’ve heard it quite a while! I felt bad too, plus that really heavy bin later in the video made his job a bit harder. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Nice combo. The takeoffs sounded surprisingly good.
I agree they sounded great!! Thanks for commenting!
That was my first truck at lakeshore i took care of that thing!!
That’s so cool!! Did you ever use it in Wheaton, maybe I filmed you! They still have it on yard waste too, but it’s at the West Chicago yard. You still at LRS?
MidwestTrashTrucks no i used it on the south side of chicago for the recycling and yes im still at LRS i do commercial now
Dion Flowers I always wondered where they used it before here, that’s very interesting. Lakeshore has a lot of commercial stuff too
Well done guys no words.💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻👌🏻👌🏻👈🏻👈🏻👈🏻
I work at advanced in Batavia and we actually didn’t layoff anybody after Lake sucks recycling got St. Charles and Geneva from us, the guy in this video got let go do to other reasons. Cool guy though!
Brandon Non-ya-biss that’s cool that you work there! Too bad he got laid off, but I do agree has was a fantastic driver, very nice guy too! Thanks for the comment!
Midwest TrashTrucks yeah sucks he got laid off but glad he found something else even though it’s with the competitor 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ but he was one of the few that actually helped you out! Keep up the videos and get some advanced trucks on here 😂😂
Brandon Non-ya-biss Hahaha very true my man!! Unfortunately you guys work pretty far away from where I generally film so the only way I might get film is if I went out to where you guys film, but it’d be a while before that happens and the industry around here will probably change within that time in terms of who holds what contract. Also, could you do a ride along video or something similar because I would love to see what you drive!
Midwest TrashTrucks I’ll have to see what I can do far as videos, there pretty anal when it comes to video taping there equipment, I believe my truck is a 2008 Mack front end loader with McNeilus body, was originally veolia truck when they where servicing Wheaton
Brandon Non-ya-biss Wow that’s awesome that you have an ex-Veolia truck, those bring back so many awesome childhood memories! Too bad they don’t like having their equipment taped
why he didn't just tag that can for being heavy almost killed himself lifting it
David Schieler I was wondering the same thing! Especially with all of LRS’ safety campaigns I think that would kinda put him in an unsafe situation, plus cans can’t weigh more than 50 pounds. He is new to the job so he may not have been familiar to these rules, so he was just being nice and took it.
Midwest TrashTrucks there probably gonna have some waste Management workers coming to work with them soon they got dekalb from them
