Slurpee156 If that last "Hark!" wasn't rehearsed, then it just shows how perfectly in tune their minds must have been because it was so perfectly timed and in synch!!
Two geniuses of comedy. In the Jerry Lewis book "Dean and Me", Lewis said that Dean Martin was one of the funniest people he ever knew and the success of their show was due to Deans humor. Plus...he could sing. They havent made them like this in decades.
historyshowsus I reckon other comedians must have loved working with Dean because he had such a terrific sense of humour that he made the perfect audience for their routines! I love watching him in sketches with the likes of Buddy, Jonathan Winters or Foster Brooks because just waiting for the inevitable moment when he finally loses it just makes it twice as funny to me 😂😂
historyshowsus Buddy and Dean were hilarious. Every time I watch this I piss myself dry laughing You are definitely right, they do not make them like this anymore.
This chap is hypnotically strange ...all bits go the wrong way...he meanders about seeking oblivion and then brings it all together!!! Who the hell is he and why is he forgotten...great foible Dean m
The hardest I've ever laughed in my life was Buddy's first HBO special. I'm sure the "What the heck was that?" joke he told to Dean here would have been much funnier if he could have replaced "heck" with HBO-safe language.
Dean Martin (Steubenville, Ohio, 7 de junio de 1917-Beverly Hills, California, 25 de diciembre de 1995) fue un cómico, actor y cantante estadounidense.
There will never be another Buddy, Jonathan, Rodney or Richard ever again. The only comedian I have seen in the last few years was Lewis Black on his first HBO special.
buddy enters and goes on and on about being in the birthing room and his wife screaming at him, Dean is laughing so hard and waving off the director trying to stop Buddy for a station break.
Wow, compare to guests today that rehearse a generic story given to them by the writing staff. Also helps to be in the entertainment business longer than 3 years.
There is a Dean Matin show where Buddy tells about the birth of his kid, Buddy is on a roll and Dean refuses the directors orders to cut him off and let's him finish his story. Is this availble anywhere?
You gotta be kidding me, Lewis Black? Ha! That guy is not even funny! You went way down the comedian list to find him. I would be hard pressed to put him in the top 100!
thank God for youtube videos of the funniest people that ever lived.
Buddy Hackett, like his contemporary, Danny Thomas, was a great, GREAT story-teller. when he was on: he was one of the funniest men alive. hands down.
This is hilarious. We don't have comedy like this nowadays. Buddy Hackett and Dean are priceless. I love Hackett's "Sound of the cannon shot!"

Oh thank you for the memories the simple days just a great belly laugh

One of the funniest nights I have ever seen was Buddy's HBO special. You will piss your pants if you can find it on RUclips.

Two hearts cold war

I said his first special. He had some great material on that special. I have to agree that everything else he has dones has been just so-so.
this story would NEVER be told today
It _IS_ being told "today".

I hope so. Never heard about it
Buddy Hackett seemed a very nice man. It's a pity that I understand his jokes only partly. Seen him in a movie. There he was very funny.
Are they “alive?
sony
These are 2 of the very best but the material wasn’t so funny this time
I feel like Benny hill stole his act

Back when humor was funny, instead of politically correct!
The plant athlete thermodynamically scribble because beer booly remove to a wrong glue. debonair, noiseless queen
