I love the fact that they said Jerry Lee would play a piano no matter where he was at. I just talked, yesterday, to a friend of our family and he told me that his in-laws used to have an old piano with broken keys and when Jerry went by there, he'd play it and make it sound wonderful even with the broken keys!!
That just makes us love Jerry even more. He has given us his life, definitely has. He treats us like he’s known us for years, like we are family. Nobody today does that. But Jerry still does.
A great insight into Cecil Harrison’s relationship with JLL, and a real pleasure to watch! Thank you Graham. Having been a fan since 1957, I still love to listen and learn.
No, Cecil passed away about 9 years ago and is buried at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson,La. Caldwell Parish. His daughter with Jerry Lee's sister, sings like a bird. I grew up with Mary Jean. If you want to hear her sing, look up Mary Jean Lewis, which is her stage name. She sang Rockabilly music.
@@JWyles73 all right thanks for the info, oh BTW were you and Jerry Lee on friendly basis? I actually think Mickey had the best pure voice, and I actually like Mickey's piano playing ...I know Jerry Lee was great but......Jimmy Lee plays good but his age is getting to his voice for sure...lot of talent out of Ferriday!!

I can't believe I now live in a World without the Killer. RIP JLL. ⚡

I would love to sit down & have a good visit with Cecil. What a part of Southern American History.
I am afraid Cecil died back in 2013.
