    Rosemary oil is a growth agent. Better used in treatments that you are applying to your scalp.

    ARGAN Rain shampoo is amazing! My hair is color treated. I dye my roots blonde every 4 weeks and my hair has been brittle and breaking off. This shampoo transformed my hair. I can tell my hair is healthy and is soft and silky at the roots. I love this stuff!

    I was looking at the aphogee products a couple of weeks ago at Sally's and saw they are pH balanced and was impressed never really knew that. So I might be trying them

    • @AfroKhadisiac

      Josjf Faye I agree. That is very impressive lol. That's more than likely why my hair does so well with the Sulfate shampoo, it's pH balanced! You should definitely check out some of their stuff. I wanna try their curlific line someday soon

    If the deep conditioner by shea moisture i think they change their formula or something or made for all hair types. It used to say moisture seal not moisture correct since they did that this product no longer works on my hair 😔 this was one of my fav products

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  6 лет назад

      Katherine Johnson Omg yes I noticed that as well. The name was different back when I first tried it in 2016. It still works the same for me, but I'm sorry it no longer works for you. SM always changes their formulas up from time to time. I think you should try out a brand that doesn't do as many altering to their formulas! It's so annoying to have something u loved stopped working ❤❤

    Hi khadisa I am new to defining my curls back in August 2017. You have been so helpful in this part of my hair journey. One question. When you use the clay do you still pre poo the night before?

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  6 лет назад +3

      Gloria Smith Aww! That's awesome! ❤Hey 😊 Yes I still prepoo overnight with coconut oil even when I know I'm going to be doing a bentonite Clay treatment the following day. In the following videos to come I'm going to show exactly how I do wash days so you'll see everything ❤

    What products should I use on a day to day basis for transitioning hair ?

  • @dorethamcelliott8167
    @dorethamcelliott8167 6 лет назад

    Hi Afro Khadisiac, like you I have high porosity, medium density, but my curls re 4B/4C. Does it matter what products I can use since our curl types are different or can I use the same products. By the way I love the Shea Moist High Porosity Line 😄

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  6 лет назад

      Hey Doretha!! Porosity is the main factor that will help you out a lot with the type of products you need for your hair. Hair texture will decipher things like product thickness. Since we have the same density you may enjoy medium to heavy consistency products, which I enjoy too. All my products aren't heavy, but most of them have some thickness to them. So, I think your hair will like a lot of the thicker/heavier things I use. I hope that makes sense! lol xoxo

    Hey AK I remember when you were reviewing the mielle organics pomegranate honey line would you recommend the leave in from the line for high porosity

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  6 лет назад +2

      Adrianna F Hey Adrianna! Yes those are still favorites of mine especially for a wash n go, but I don't do that style as often as a twist out. If you're looking for some good Mielle Organics prods for High Porosity hair to style your hair with that line is awesome

    Nice regimen! I like coconut oil. I used to use it all the time and talk about it in videos. I used Kinky Curly for the first time years ago and I featured the custard in a video in 2011. I wish Carol's Daughter would still sale the Khomet hair smoothie. I love that product. That look you made at around 4:56 :) I shared some oils I use on my hair on my channel too.

    Heyyy I just subscribed today!! I just learned I have hp hair when I noticed my hair dries SUPERR fast. I know its probably from relaxing my hair waaayyy too much in the past which is also why I had to big chop end of 2016 smh but I'm really loving this natural hair journey... btw we have the same name lol

  • @MekaSharee
    @MekaSharee 6 лет назад

    Wayment...i thought it was “Moisture SEAL” not “Moisture CORRECT” 🤔 when did they change that and why???

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  6 лет назад

      MekaSharee LOL Girl It was! I ordered this from Target.com and the picture said "Moisture Seal" However when I got it I noticed it said "Moisture Correct." Idk which version is currently on the shelves in the store. To me it's normal at this point to see SM change their product names so I didn't even mention anything in the video but I did notice. Usually whenever they change the name, the change up the formula as well. Another subbie mentioned the "Moisture correct" doesn't work for them anymore. It's possible they switched around the formula because they do this all the time. This works for me the same however.

    The dimethicone in the ORS product, do you know if it’s water soluble?

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  6 лет назад

      Hey! Dimethicone is a non water soluble silicone. I use a sulfate shampoo 1x a month to remove all the stuff thats not water soluble

    • @LunaMysteriax
      @LunaMysteriax 6 лет назад

      Afro Khadisiac Oh yes I know that dimethicone is a heavy cone I was talking about the one in that was in the ORS product it had a longer name. (Dimethicone Peg-7 Isotearate ) I wasn’t sure since some cones are supposedly water soluble. Also, I asked because I thought I heard you say in another video that you followed the curly girl method.

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  6 лет назад

      I believe theres regular dimethicone and the other dimethicone you mentioned. When "Peg" is in the name that usually means water soluble. As for the CG method, I stopped following it back in 2016. I only followed it for about 7 months. I got very bad moisture overload from the excessive co-washing. Now I use cones, waxes, and everything else thats not curly girl friendly lol. Seems to work so much better for me & my hair type.

    • @LunaMysteriax
      @LunaMysteriax 6 лет назад

      Afro Khadisiac Yes I’ve heard a lot of people say that after following the curly girl method for some time they were able to get to the point of max hydration sometimes too much like you but in the end it made their hair healthier than ever before allowing certain products that never worked well before work a lot better. They claim to longer have moisture retention issues. So they later on go back to using cones or sulphates etc but only as needed. What about mineral oil does your hair like it? My hair hates it.

    Can you seal your hair with coconut oil?

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  6 лет назад +1

      Hey Kieva! You can, but personally I found that using Coconut oil as a sealant makes my hair dry. It's more like a repairing oil, so it works best as a hair treatment that you shampoo out. I seal with Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

  • @far6311

    I find that coconut oil leaves my hair dry and crunchy, but I’m high porosity. What is this?!

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  6 лет назад +6

      Lexi Thompson Ok how are you using it Lexi? This is a very important question because as a sealant coconut oil makes my hair dry & hard 😢 So the real question is..do you use it as a prepoo (before u wash your hair) or as a sealant (after you've washed your hair? ) 👀
