These are the sort of cars we need in the UK, practical small sensible vehicles, all you need but in a package that makes so much sense, we have gone big but our roads are still Victorian, too narrow for cars to park and pass each other, uses that come to mind, older people, people that mobile issues, school run, city shopping and so on, just makes so much sense to me, I am looking serious loooking as my next car the Honda N-Box.
These are all reasons why I wanted to get this car. Our roads are so narrow and parking can be difficult. I've always liked smaller cars but ones sold in the UK are nowhere near as practical or packed with as much tech/features. I think you will absolutely love the N-Box
For about 7 years I had a Suzuki WagonR as my daily driver. It wasn't great as a driving experience but it handled everything that I carried in it, on it or towed behind it with no bother at all. I see this car as a spiritual successor to that one. There is definitely a role for kei cars, for some people in UK....
@@pauljenkins2501 I also had a Wagon R to, metallic blue, top spec, was a brilliant car, I moved house in it 😂, everything went in or on top 😂 went on camping holidays also, it was brilliant, sometimes you cannot beat at a square box, even if it does come across like Postman Pats van 👍, if you want practicality and space, sometimes you need to downsize to just function on today's roads, parking spaces and the general cost to be on the road these days, and car are just getting more expensive as they get bigger, is the Mini still a Mini? you tell me.
Quite agree - I live in Norfolk and seem to be the only person who doesn’t drive a Range Rover. They never go off road and block the narrow lanes as well as destroying the roads with their weight. I’ve had 10 Smart cars over the years, which are ideal for my needs. I’ve now bought a Fiat Panda which is still bigger than I need. This Suzuki looks ideal for a small family.
@@CarsofGlasgow It makes so much sense! I'm always forgetting my reusable bag when I go to the store. If I had this, the passenger seat becomes my reusable bag! Really clever stuff here
Another Canadian here. Too bad, we never see k-cars in this country...I wish there is a move from citizens to allow k-cars (with some restriction) here. About this car, I like most of all the way the back window can be a roof from rain while sitting on the back space.
I initially wanted to mock it but wow, having a car like that as your wee utility motor would be incredibly useful. We miss out on so many cool vehicles. That was a great review, camera and sound are really good!
Thanks for showing that fantastic little car. It's criminal that Suzuki are not selling this gem in the UK because it is exactly the type of car we need. Why are only the Japanese this thoughtful?
Hello, the model introduced here was released six years ago. At that time, it was priced at around 2 million yen. The current model has also evolved and remains popular, with the price not changing much. In Japan, kei cars account for about 40% of the market share. They are very convenient because they offer great fuel efficiency and low maintenance costs. It feels almost like commuting on a motorcycle with a roof. Actually, I have a Daihatsu Canbus at home.
For what is, technically a box on wheels, this little car oddly has character and real charm. Makes sense in congested cities and seems usable, especially the interior space.
Europe should also introduce size-limits. That would make manufacturers more creative to make cars smaller and roomier. Nowadays a Peugeot 208 is larger than a VW Golf IV, but it's cramped on the rear seats. With Kei-like size limits, manufacturers would be pushed to make their cars as roomy as possibile within a set size.
Brilliant car for speed camera strewn Britain. There isnt much chance to go fast any more and we need to discourage people from being aggressive. If you drive this very practical car, you will be too busy smiling for road rage. All cars here should be like this, small, practical and fun. Well done, never seen one before.
Great demonstrator. I am an old lady and I could understand all the workings as they were demonstrated so well. Had Susukis for over twenty years and love them. "YE canae kill a Susuki"😁
It’s camera cruise control if it uses the camera…….radar uses……radar. The “heating elements” on the rear side window is the fm radio aerial. Still a very entertaining video…..keep up the good work.

Agreed ... though to be fair it's the Landrovers and other brands of huge SUVs (non electric as well as EV) that hit those kind of numbers more than Teslas ... my Tesla weighs less than a BMW 3 series and certainly isn't 5 metre's long! How about a Ford Ranger at 5.370 metres!
Wish we could get them in the UK instead of some of the oversized dross available. Love Kei cars and for the city they are ideal. Loved seeing them on my last trip to Japan.
I LOVE JDM KEI CAR, there's a world of them in japan. Please review also those Pocket rocket Suzuki Alto rs turbo Works or honda Nbox MUGEN ❤ love them rocket pocket got the chance of driving them while in Japan.
So much better than the l7 class UTVs teens drive around here these days, those have zero passive protection beyond seatbelts, much like the earliest kei cars.
Drove an older version of this around Kyushu (southern island of Japan) , and it is amazing how much more practical use of space the Japanese excel at designing. It drove easily at highway speeds even without a turbo. Only thing I hated was the CVT automatic transmission, jerky and rarely worked well, maybe it was just abused as a rental car or overdue for a service. Apart from that it was brilliant and housed all our (4 people) crap for a month on the road.
