These *"Live Sessions"* were recorded in 2021 (during the pandemic shutdown) to promote their *"Mayday EP"* (which was 6 songs from their 2022 full length album *"Error")* & after pandemic Mayday Tour 2022. Those Live Sessions were fine. But this band turns into a hard rocking beast when they play in fromt of a live audience. That's where they shine.
At the 2023 MTV MVA's. The Warning were ask to perform even though they were not up for any award. They went into that small stage (MTV wanted to tape on their outdoor stage but it was raining) where 98% of those attendees *NEVER HEARD OF THE WARNING.* Two people in that crowd are Warning Army fans. The Warning played the songs *"More"* & *"Evolve".* You should react to both songs.
The Warning had to cancel an Guns 'N Roses opening gig to attend the VMA's. I thought that was a big mistake. I'm overjoyed that *I WAS WRONG.*

These live sessions were a way for TW to give their fans some "live" music during the Pandemic lockdowns. TW had released several singles from their Error recording sessions and eventually release the Mayday EP containing those songs about seven or so months prior to the official release of Error. They are recording a live sessions here in the Victoria Studios in Monterrey. They have a history with the studios having recording several of their songs there before they signed the contract with Lava Records. They also used the studio to record the reimagned Enter Sandman cover that they did remote with Alessia Cara who was in Canada for her share of the recording. That cover was for the Metallica Blacklist album that was released a couple of years ago to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Metallica's Black album.

Dany’s best guitar work on any song is found in a song from their debut album called Show me the Light (She has said it is the solo she is the most proud of). It is a ballad, and has a heart felt solo. The album was released in 2017. Here is a link ruclips.net/video/3CJ1KRhMxeE/видео.htmlsi=n7RE4k8RWEoELMpp
For a more current song, I would suggest Z. There is a wonderful live recording of the performance from Theatro Metropolitan. It is not a ballad. ruclips.net/video/s-1gwSegQ7E/видео.htmlsi=12OSO8Ng9f2923NZ
The band is not huge on solos. Some of their songs do have them, a lot do not. The sisters write to each individual song, so solos depend on both the vibe and the message that they want to convey rather than the opportunity to showcase skills. Dany is more than capable of ripping off a vicious guitar line, but her guitar hero’s are David Gilmore and Brian May so she tends to write more melodic solos. I have dropped hints to her about Gary Moore as I know she would love his work, but to my knowledge she has yet to check him out (its not like they are busy or anything….I am sure they have all the time in the world to listen to new music fans try to turn them on to 😂😂).

I’d give the 2023 VMA performance another go. Not sure what sound issues you were having but it is pro-shot by MTV and excellent ( probably the best quality) available. You’ll be astounded by the added energy their live performances have. Plus Pau and Ale’s vocals are much more in play, and Pau “ takes control” at one point.

@@TheUnderdogDe Depends on how one defines it. As far as my definition, if it has seats and a stage, it's a "theater". An "auditorium" or "stadium" (usually used for sports events) can be converted into a "theater" by adding a stage; a true "theater" is generally designed with a permanent stage and some acoustical engineering into the size and shape of the place. But either way, pretty much anything can be _configured_ as a "theater".

Yes, this is the same bass player; she's just younger, and she's all of 19 currently. Don't quote me on this, but I feel like this video came out around 2022, so she was 17...Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.
These ladies are sisters and they've been doing this for ten years, now. They started with a cover of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" back in 2014.
Dany doesn't solo often, but there's a solo in "Z". I really like that song. My favourite solo of Dany's is in "XXl Century Blood"...it's a very vibey solo. They made a wonderful video for that one, too (very cinematic...I do believe they won some awards for that). That's the title track from their first record...they were very young...17, 15, and 12.

If you watch their early videos (like the original Enter Sandman cover that went viral) Ale, the bass player, is all of 9 and is the shortest of the three. She is now the tallest, but they have all grown, their voices have changed, but they have always been an excellent band.

They have a growing base of younger fans, and it’s encouraging to see some younger bands and musicians starting to cover their songs. The sound mix is very good in these studio sessions, but still doesn’t match the passion and energy of the pro-recorded live performance videos from their Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show August, 2022. Enjoyed your reaction! 😎👍

G'Day Mate! Evolve is a BANGER for sure. Some advice though. If The Warning Army recommends a certain performance believe them. They have 5 or 6 of these live studio recordings of songs from their 3rd album "Error" because it was recorded during the pandemic and they could not play live. How ever good they are, they are no substitute for real live videos. The performance of Evolve at the 2023 MTV VMAs is fantastic AND has better live sound than this recording, trust us!
And for live performances to watch in the future, their gold standard is their 2022 concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (CDMX = Mexico City). There are not many guitar solos in their songs, but If you want a few, try "XXI Century Blood" (Live at Teatro or the award winning Music Video), "Queen of the Murder Scene" (Live at Teatro), "Narcisista" (Live at Foro Didi), and for a soulful ballad with a beautiful solo and Pau the drummer playing piano and singing lead, "Show Me The Light" (Live at Dakota Bar). From an adopted Kiwi to another, trust me! :)
BTW, as I commented in the last video, I lived in NZ in 1982-83 as an exchange student. I lived north of Auckland in Maungaturoto and Paparoa. I just noticed this time you are in Christchurch. I was able to tour the South Island for 17 days and I have been to Christchurch. Such a beautiful city! I was heartbroken when I heard about the earthquake and also the mass shooting. You are such strong and lovely people there, my heart goes out to you all!

The 3 sisters are bringing great rock and roll back to the masses...they have a massive following of all ages...selling out concerts wherever they go for good reason. As mentioned, Dany guitar solo's are prevalent in songs like "Z", Narcissists', Martirio, Queen of the Murder Scene, just to name a few, Dany doesn't like to show off to much, they all share the spotlight when performing. Also mentioned in the comments is any of their 21 originals from the Live Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert. Best Live recording of a concert I have ever heard in 60+ years of rock music...superb audio and video....studio quality. Cheers...Rock on, viva TW/DPA

So funny on the Automatic Sun information. LOL! To be clear, it does not start with the bass. 😉 It starts with Dany's Baritone Fender Stratocaster in Drop-A tuning. The bass comes in later when you see Ale step in and get into her bass stance and is also in Drop-A. Then the bass stops and it's just Dany and the Strat again for a bit. 🙂 Love your reactions though! Keep it up. Welcome to The Warning rabbit hole! 🐇🕳

It only takes a few opening notes to a tune like Automatic Sun to be an instant addict. One of fhe achievements that might not be mentioned much is how they have already made the transgenerational step that takes some bands 20-30 yrs to achieve. They have fans from 5-80 already. There are young bands covering their stuff already. And the fanbase is already worldwide and growing! A little correction- This was not a concert. It was recorded live sessions of 4 songs (I think). There multi-band streamed on-line concert was just after they signed with Lava/Republic Records. Their signing was announced just before they played. That live stream concert was also where Lzzy Hale first saw them and immediately asked them to tour with her. Pandemic screwed that up but they eventually did their tour together.

I could be wrong about this, but from what I can gather, Dany spoke in the past that she had a baritone guitar, but a more affordable one, an ESP LTD I think, but recently she was offered by Fender to supply her some guitars and as she needed a top quality baritone for Automatic Sun live, where she could also play those harmonics above the nut, she asked them for a custom made one with her humbucker pickups that she loves and voilà!

If you’re really keen on guitar solos then watch their last performance of a cover; Atlas Rise by Metallica at the Whiskey a gogo 2019. They had just played a 2 hour set and the owner asked them to play it for his birthday; Alé was on empty tank (she was 14 then) but like the trooper she is she nailed it. Dany was playing the two guitar parts intermingling rhythm with the lead parts and Pau sharing the vocals with her. Believe me it’s an outstanding performance!

Regarding guitar solos- What you have to understand is that they do not waste time with things that do not add to the song. There are very few guitar solos in their body of work. They do what the song needs. not add on "look at me" crap. Plenty of other bands out there where you can find that but not The Warning. That said, any one of them is plenty capable of giving a great solo. Both Dany (guitarist) and Paulina (drummer) have given several master classes on their instruments and song writing, and performance. Ale' on bass is maybe the most talented but shy, but has also given a master class with her sister Paulina (drums). The closest thing to a solo is in "Z" and in "Queen of the Murder Scene". Here are links to those live performances. ruclips.net/video/s-1gwSegQ7E/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/Z26GyuRArYQ/видео.html
