    🙏🧡💚👍thanks for this tutorial. I'm building my racks for now, the 2500 modules are on my list with two grey minie B2600, with other Behriger things, Depend of my money every month. For now, I'm about the three cases wich will contain 2 or 3 keyboards by unit. The upper part will be the racks , euroracks and 3U, Acting as lids. So it is very important for me to listen what material I need, to balance between mono and polyphonic instruments and the structure , the organization of the racks. In your video, I listen that the philosophy of the 2500 modules are well corresponding to the 2600. My music is partly played on keyboard, partly this is long slow sequences, soundscapes, using sound from nature too. This month I just brought two Keyboards Behringer Swing, as I am busy to design the shape of the three cases. My project seems ambitious, but in a few years All those new affordable instruments opened a new era for old listeners of electronic music like Tangerine or Schulze, not wanting to recreate past, but just to our proper search with new ability of creation. This sequencer lets being keyboard free to control free designed sounds suite, then modulated individually, this lets a big amount of creativity, and this is only one module of two, very smooth pieces of music.🙏🧡💚👍

      Hello Patricia, thank you for sharing your thoughts. The Behringer Swing has a powerful sequencer on board which you can use for musical purposes. I personally consider the 1027 sequencer more of a hybrid device between musical and module control purposes. Greetings, Ralph

      @@smartti1970 Turning one individual knob will NOT affect the pitch/tuning of the entire sequence. But bear in mind, this is an analog device. It does not behave as accurately as a digital device. It may go out of tune slightly and thus the sequence may require some re-adjustments.

    Great one Ralph. It looks like you don't have to boost the signal from the sequencer to get it to trigger the gates on the 2600- very interesting. I have a Behringer 960 sequencer that will not trigger the gates without boosting the signal through the preamp first. I'm excited to have a B2500 sequencer on the way though!

      @RalphBaumgartl  Год назад +2

      @@spirala9 Good question! I am giving you my personal opinion here. I think that the 1027 is some kind of hybrid between a musical and an effect device. If you plan to use the 1027 as a musical control device for your modular setup then it makes sense to get a quantizer as well. Greetings, Ralph

  • @uhoh007
    @uhoh007 8 месяцев назад +1

    Would be nice if you explained the difference between gate and trigger in the 2600, which is different from eurorack, and how to use that feature, which you appear to do at the end.

    • @RalphBaumgartl
      @RalphBaumgartl  8 месяцев назад +1

      The Gate also includes a Trigger. That's the spike at the beginning of the Gate. To put it very simply, when you set to "Multiple" on the 2600 you can play a new key while the previous key is still depressed and thereby triggering (initiating) the Envelope again. On the 2500 Eurorack modules you also have the "Multiple" feature but you have to do some additional patch cabling to achieve that result.

    I use mine with the 962 sequential switch to get up to 24 step sequences going into the Erica Synths Pico Quant, I duplicate the gate out into a 4MS clock divider and patch the various division outs into my drum modules for drum sequences. I didn't realize you can use the 1050 (for whatever noob reason) to do the same thing as the 962, which I've been slacking on trying out, which if it works with how I like to patch things, would save me some space and power draw for more modules :D

      Hello Sean, the 962 seems to be a pretty common companion to analog step sequencers. Anyway the 1050 is a powerful solution for the 1027 because you can set up an "internal" connection to the 1050 which is simplifying things. Thanks for sharing your experiences 🙏 Have a nice weekend, Ralph

    Hey ralph, thanks for the video! I have the 1027 and 1050. I don’t use them combined often. I don’t sequence notes with the 1027 often because it’s not quantized and the fact that it’s a short sequence (I use a sequential switch to combine the channels into a longer sequence in that case). But I still like to use it for modulation and as a clock. I usually use Rene to sequence notes because I can get a much more complex and shifting sequence with it. Are you making a video combining the 1027 and 1050? That would be great! I bought them to use together but it didn’t work the way that I had assumed it would.
