This is cool and lots of people will be psyched on it . I wish it had cv over its mode selector though. That way you could get super complex drum sequences giving the illusion of multiple types of drums.
Yeah I am super psyched - but surely a missed option with no CV over mode selection. Although I understand if they want to keep things as vanilla as possible. But perhaps we can mod it? ;)
I saw Prince And The Revolution live in 85 and 86. Sure enough, Bobby had those 4 Syncussion pads alongside his Simmons drums and whichever actual acoustic drums he used

You had me at Soft Cell and Aphex Twin....yes, there are actually people like me who love both of those. I think I will sell my RD-6 for this. It will go well with my RD-8 and RD-9.
The SDS-8 sound is nice but the one Behringer needs to do is the SDSV. I used to have the SDS-8 sold it but still got the SDSV, so I know how both sounds. A Behringer SDSV with Clap Trap would be EPIC!
You guys just go from stride to stride. It's so refreshing to see a large company that actually keeps making things people want. Good job again. I'd say I would buy this, but you have about 20 things I want. I can't buy 'em all.

Lol, yeah, I missed that in the edit. Completely zoned out I guess. Was more focused on the light show VFX video editing and making the music for the video.
@Behringer thanks for listening to the customer. Now let's take it to the next level and create a 12 and 18 track Analog Mixing Console, like the new Harrison. Because Nobody is making an affordable Analog Mixing Console and all of the Home and Small studios are looking to purchase an Analog Mixing Console. Once Behringer creates an Analog Mixing Console, you guys will completely take over and everyone will switch to Behringer.
@@juliaseppi2205 They're marketing it as "eurorack semimodular format", so to me it's not far fetched to expect more than simple Trig and Tune ins. The Synth itself sounds very nice
The original had none of that. I've just sold my Drumbo syncussion single voice. It was okay but sounded nothing like the previous THC SY1 clone I used to have! If the beh sounds anything like the THC or the OG, then I'm not really bothered that it doesn't have cv ins for the parameters. And for £170 or whatever it is then.........
I have a vintage device called In-line effects drum fire that has 5 channels with an analog oscillator and noise generator that can be mixed together per channel. So 10 analog tone generators at once. I believe Tama made a 2 channel unit that is similar. These were actually used as sound enhancers for acoustic drums in the studio. You would blend the synthesized sound with the dry sound, and you would just hear a fat drum sound that wasn’t obviously electronic
While I wait on that Neptune-80, it's nice to see more amazing stuff coming out like this fantastic drum synth. Since you're determined to make every single piece of amazing gear from the past new and affordable, I'm hoping a phase distortion synth makes it to the list eventually.
OK. This is great! Now the LinnDrum LM-1 behringer. Been waiting for years. Wallet is ready.
My wallet has been ready for stuff Behringer released a year ago or more and still are out of stock everywhere in the US.
Linndrum doesn't have a model number is just Linndrum now the other two have it, Linn LM-1 and Linn 9000.

The Syncussion was also heavily used by Dub producers like Scientist and Paul "Groucho" Smykle. Super versatile little unit !
Yeah this unit always makes me think of reggae and dub.
between this and the 636 reverb, it seems like they’re targeting the dub heads rn
Dub isn't music. Its sounds for morons who think they know music
Most certainly finding its way into my set-up! Thank you Behringer for making this machine happen. Love it!!!
Amazing. I'm so excited. I was waiting for this since the first announcement years ago. I thought it would never come
Same here. This is a most welcome surprise. I almost started reading some manuals on my other gear. :)
