He-he-he, I was there No kidding! And I used to have Rats in the Kitchen LP, Soviet press . I can't believe how forking long ago it happened! Met my wife very shortly after that gig, this is our milestone event to remember when we met. And I love the fashion, the hair dress people wore at that time
as Michael Wong said, this was released on laser disc ..... but also on VHS (I have a copy) ! 811ORPU - I also have a copy of the russian version LP which I found in a record shop in Toulouse, France in about 1995, it's framed hanging on my wall although the cover is now rather faded, I think becasue of the quality of the printing.
Wish one day i can meet ub40s woi 20yrs knw since i started listening their music know in YuTube i just feel bad when i don have mbs to watch their music
I went to all four concerts, with friends from Patrice Lumumba University. Dancing was not allowed. At one point the security removed me out. TwoUB40 staff came out very angry. Told the security I was one of them. I went back again, Ali Campbell asked me to come up and handed me the mice. I spoke briefly asking the security to allow people dance. At the 29-31 min you can see the security trying to remove me. Astro was screaming on them. Oh what days! Ahmed/
at 8.30 - watch the TV interview about the dancing and Ali's russian being 'bleeped out' !!! Hat off to the presenter and th woman on stage standing up to the russian scret service cameraìwoman !!!! We should remember that they did this tour 3 yrs before the fall of the Berlin wall when attitudes still hadn't changed. Revolutionary !
I think the intro to "Don't Break My Heart" at the Lenin Mausoleum is an absolute masterpiece, with the guards marching away gradually matching the rhythm of the song. Having lived in Birmingham for a few years myself, hearing Ali describe the two guards staring at each other and saying "Not a sausage" in a real Brummie accent is absolutely hilarious ("Nat a sassage" LOL).
Aaw.. I had hoped, that they would show the moment, when they sang I Got You Babe, and the crowd got translated the title of the song. They went mad with happiness! I am from the time, when the Iron Curtin was there, and I also saw, when it fell! I was in Berlin to see The Wall concert, not too many years after this concert. The world does not need big isms like socialism and communism, they are both so repressive. I hope to live to see the day, when Cuba will be free. And North Korea. But I am not so sure, because my health is not that good anymore.
I don't know who is responsible for all of the advertisements butchering anyone being able to enjoy this video, but if you think it is doing anything but pissing us off and making us think that corporations are full of jerks and we will NEVER vote Right of Center because of it, think again. Blank-holes!
I'm 66 years old and still love to listen to UB40 music there the best group of all time. Thank you boys.

CCCP- Live in Moscow : Just perfect.
Это Ленинград, Говорю вам, как свидетель)
NOt sure why they have used album recordings instead of the actual live sound from the gigs, (apart from a talky bit at the end of some tracks)
Omg memories ub40 when they were at there best

If you get advertising when watching RUclips, get an AdBlocker, e.g. AdBlockPlus or uBlockOrigin. Google for them.
adblock plus. never had to endure an ad
Visiblement on ne m'a pas tout dit .
I wonder how the english-speaking russians coped with the brummie accents !!! LOL
