I have an old ARP Odyssey MkII, the black and gold one. A friend of mine bought a bundle of music gear from someone, and the ARP was included in the bundle. My friend didn't know how to use th ARP, and apparently, he had no interest in learning how to use it, so he gave it to me. I would like to have service to bring into spec, and it needs new faders as they are realy hard to move. However, it still sounds great.

The original actually has recessed keys. The mk 3 has the keys sticking out, which makes them more susceptible to damage.
Was für ein Sound! Besonders Hard Sync - der Hammer!! Ich weiß, dass Detlef Schmidtchen von Eloy in den 70er Jahren einen ODYSSEY benutzt hat. Bei dem Design-Feature "herausragende Tastatur" frage ich mich, wie seine Roadies das Ding unfallfrei von einem Gig zum nächsten bekommen haben...
Die Sync Sounds gehören zu den Besten im Synthesizer-Bereich finde ich. Das Ding kann sehr böse klingen. Im besten Sinne.🎹😅👍

Love this sound, reminds me of space and sci-fi the beginning of your video. Classic little synth with so much to offer, just love this little box of tricks. Love to see new music made with these kind of synths again. I see this is in beautiful condition and looks new. What year did this synth come out ? Was it 1978 ? Anyway like always just love seeing your videos of the great stuff you do with them. Thanks for sharing your time and putting your hard work into sharing with us. The Odyssey is very versatile. Like a little ARP2600. And way more as the Minimoog. Perfect for spacy FX sounds.

Are you able to show us how we can reproduce the 'Blue/Green Wave' FX sound from Jeff Wayne's "War Of The Worlds" (1978)?
It was done on an Arp Odyssey. It's a monophonic sound and the octave drop involved the transpose switch (over on the left side of the keyboard) as heard in the first 4 seconds of the following clip:
