Great demo Fluff! I drifted off while I was multi-tasking and then remembered I was listening to your demo. I thought I was just listening to music! Wow, I think that says something about both your playing and the pedal!
For copping Edge tones, why get this pedal for more $$$ than simply getting a EHX Deluxe Memory Man Nano for cheaper? This seems cool, but is it worth the extra money compared to just getting his go-to delay pedal?
This delay pedal sounds great. I already have a good delay and reverb pedal from Keeley, but it's bigger than the mxr, and the mxr probably fits better on my pedal board. The hidden functions of the mxr pedal is confusing me a bit... 🤷🏻♂️
Is there a way to get this thing mimicked in the Helix? I’m using helix for all my effects and the simplicity keeps me there. But damn do these fancy pedals sound good
Any chance they got the name "Joshua" from the inspiration of U2 ~ Joshua Tree? I mean c'mon.... talk about delay centric "The Edge" ... ha ha! Just my thoughts. **UPDATE, I just got to @02:10 and heard you say "The Edge" should have just kept my fingers off the keyboard and just watched, listened! Sorry, carry on Fluff Master
Yep, Joshua Tree was both the name of a U2 tour and U2 album. Their guitar player 'The Edge' is renowned for using Delay Pedals. What I'm still trying to make the connection with is whether or not The Edge approves of, endorses or developed this pedal in any way. It's kind of like naming a bass pedal after a Primus Album and waiting for a commentary about it from Les Claypool that never comes. Can we not just hear some Edge feedback with a little less Delay?
I think sounds good, not great but pretty ok. I think MXR really missed the mark in terms of layout, it would have been nice if they had just included basic stereo ins and outs, none of this TRS crap or having to sacrifice using an expression controller for a stereo out. Also, I cannot find ANYWHERE, not even in MXR's own literature or product manual that would indicate that it also has a TRS input as well. Everything I have seen points to one mono input only. Massive fail. Severely limits where the pedal can be placed in the chain of a true stereo effects loop. MXR was so close but they dropped the ball on execution.
Maximum features…except no preset save? Kills me. Also, this pedal does not play well with some others as I get a high freq ringing in my Joshua when turning up the mix knob using a Decibleics Golden Horse Klon clone. I like my Halo a ton better. Regardless, an expression pedal is a must for this pedal with no preset save…tie it to the mix/regen.

Check out Dunlop's demo of this. There's much more to it than meets the eye. I'm impressed. Thanks for the demo.
Got it yesterday. Totally blown away by the demos out there….
Should have tried for the U2 sound, which seems to be the point of the pedal.
Yes, he totally missed the point!!!!
What a nice looking pedal, for a moment I thought it was wet, then I realized about the sparkly finish!

BTW, do you know which delay pedal is the one used by Mastodon on "Sleeping giant"?
Has that little rasp mixed in with super clear and clean tones. Reminds me a lot of what ISIS used to do.
That's a mighty patch cable on the output there - what's that then? Something special? This pedal better than my Strymon El Capistan?
I wonder if this does SOS?
is this ment to be heard in stereo?
Ill wait untill i can get one used for about $150 😂
I’ll wat for $80

But why Joshua??
I think it's a Joshua Tree reference
...because "Josh" is "The Dude" !!!
Well, maybe it can also simulate thermonuclear war.
Why not??

War Games reference?
I’m pissed the “J” is not capitalized.

Why is it called "Joshua"? Joshua is a proper first name, not the name of an effect. I hate it.
It's presumably named after the U2 album The Joshua Tree.
$239.00 to much, sorry I just don't like it, seems unusable for what I play
My buddy and I went into the guitar store and asked the salesperson who needs this pedal, and he pointed at us and said "you two"
