Oaxaca City is one of our FAVORITE food cities we've ever visited! Not only is the food out of this world, but the charm of the city is amazing, and everything is very affordable! Highly recommend putting this place on your short list of places to visit in Mexico!
My parents are from a little pueblo close to the city of Oaxaca but I’ve been there a lot and every time I go I have a blast, and I can never get enough of the amazing food
This is the first time I have ever been exposed to what Oaxaca City has to offer. The monastery looks beautiful. So many details! Also I love the food scene already and I have not went yet!
Love your shots.. the food in Oaxaca looks ahh-mazing! I literally have to go and raid my fridge and pantry after watching this. It's always like that, isn't it? It's never enough time in any place we visit. Hope Eric has recovered well and truly from Dengue!
Absolutely love the footage and this makes us want to go back to Mexico so badly! We didn't go to Oaxaca last time so surely a good spot for our next visit! .... ah geez all the food ... hungry now
Glad you are feeling better. I was sorry I could not make it to Oaxaca this Feb, I know the food is off the hook there. That first place looks phenomenal. Ok second too! I 'suffered' through our meal at Quintonil in CDMX while I had a gastro but refused to miss the reservation. The church is stunning. Oh yum chapuline lol.
Dengue fever? Holy cow. So sorry to hear that. Really glad you can laugh about it now. That Black Bean Tamale looked amazing, as did the crab taco. Looks like you guys are good at rolling with the punches when things don't go to plan.
I don’t remember the airline, it was just a small regional plane. We just went the to airport and walked up to the counter and bought a ticket a couple days in advance. Sorry we couldn’t more help!
Wow, I really love the drone shots, and the voice-over works perfectly with it. Couldn't really find anything to add to it feedback wisely. Its awesome :). Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the video. Good info for my trip in November. One request, please either put the total cost of the meals you have in the description area, or on the screen at the end of your meal. It is very helpful in further understanding & adding context of the dining experience. Thanks so much.
The Near & Away yep I’m serious. Offal tostada appetizer for me. Seafood relleno for my wife Cara. Lechon for main course. Cara says the Tamarind grasshopper cocktail was amazing!
@@dadisphat6426 Sounds awesome! Yeah, the food scene is insane there...our favorite was obviously Criollo...but I don't think there are many bad choices in that town!
Thanks so much for watching! For the food shots and indoors...we use the Panasonic GH5s with Sigma 18-35mm lens. It’s a champ for low light stuff and getting that blurry background. Walking around stuff...GoPro 7 :-)

What service did you use for your flight from puerto to the city? I’m visiting the city and puerto in a few weeks and I’ve only found one airline.

How much the hotel cost?
We stayed at Salina Hotel, and it was pretty cheap...around $50 per night for a private room :-)
I live in Oaxaca and I pay a hundred pesos for a haircut and a beard trim.
I can't imagine where you're going.
