UPDATE!! The insta360 cameras can use this to power and use while charging. Not sure why it wasnt during the video. But ever since its been working just fine. Must have been some weird glitch. Ill be using this for my upcoming travels and should be able to get all day power!

On the Insta360 Ace Pro there is an option in the settings for "Power-off Charging" which controls what will happen when an external power source is plugged in. If set to "Charge -Only" it won't power on when you connect. If set to Charge and Power on then you can power on the selfie stick and the camera will come on. The third option will also have it start recording when external power is connected so turning the power bank on with turn on the camera and start recording.
Double clicking on the power switch will turn off the power stick and, if there is no battery, te camera - but the chapter file that it was recording might end up being corrupted (the camera splits a recording into approx 2 minute sections. If the last section gets corrupted the rest of them are usually ok. If a recording cannot be processed for some reason, removing the last segment can sometimes allow the app to process the rest of the clips).

Good video. Might use a camera for my trips instead of a phone and I won't have to worry about transfering files over. Stuck inside with Covid for the 1st time and almost feel like myself again.

Been using this for 2 year plus for my gopro..till now i dont need addtional battery..telesin take it all whole day no issue vlogging
Very sweet like i said before and i know you agree Telesin has great products and they think it through like the gopro door wit usb opening. You said it would be nice for the 360 and i agree they eat battery power like crazy but being 360 i dont like seeing the cable and usb connecter in the video (how would you solve that) thast why i use my old Qoocam 4k a lot on my bike being able to record over 2hours with the buildin battery.
you would be somewhat limited with a 360 camera as i do think the charging cable may get seen at some points. But for me all day power is more important than having that small limitation
I agree little cable showing is less anoying then have to stop every 40 minutes@@gregtoope
you line it up so that the cable is in the blind spot of the stitch. With my Insta360 x3 it is no problem as the USB connector is horizontal and that lines up perfectly with this connector. On the Quoocam 8k the usb C connector is vertical so I have a 90 adapter gatdjet which plgs in and makes the cable hide in the stitch line but unfortunately covers the audio jack.
With gopro you can power it on without battery I use it this way all the time
yeah both the insta360 and the gopro can do it. must have been a glitch or i was holding the button down to long on the insta360, but its working fine on that camera now.
Question: Insta360 Ace Pro semi-ejects SD card when you open the lach with it and USB C port. Making changing *and* filming at the time impossible. Does this device have a solution to this?
I've not noticed my Ace Pro doing this - You have to pen the latch to charge but you also have to open it to use the audio adapter so it wouldn't make sence to auto eject. Perhaps it is a fault with your unit.
