I've becime addicted to nickle box hunting since watching Rob almost 3 years ago. After 150 boxes (75% bank wrapped, 25% customer wrapped) I was only missing 38D and 50D. Averaging 25 finds per box (pre 1960, Buffs, V, and proofs). Almost 100 silvers, 20 proofs (about 1/2 circulated) at one point (not counted in my average) I got $300 in customer wrapped that were solid single date/same MM, BU rolls nearly every date and mint 59 to 85. For example, 9 rolls of 1968D in BU, 6 rolls 1960 Philly in BU, etc. Another customer wrapped had an entire rolls of 1971S proofs...where did they come from. Recently my bank called with 4 bags of nickles... i bought them after the 1st bag yielded 1950D and 1938D in the first handful. The bags ultimately had 12 1950D and a total of 108 of the key Jeffersons. And a boatload of everything else Jefferson except silvers... just 30 of them. But prizes such as every proof from 1952 on in pristine condition, and 1939 and 1944 Hennings... both secondary verification. It can happen!
Enjoy the systematic approach towards your numismatic hobby!!! Keep it going!😊
Thanks for the comment. We'll see how long I go...

That's fascinating. I've been wondering about getting a "collection dump" or something like that. It's been fun so far.
@cjw80816 I don't expect to get anything remotely like this again. Wholesale value of what I kept from the $400 in nickles is at least $5,000.
I got one."S"
11 boxes in (22000 coins), and I've gotten 3 proofs.
