I do not want to appear as a hater, but I, and many others, do not believe this performance merits the 2nd highest prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition. The technical inadequacy as displayed by poor intonation and articulation, most especially in double stop sections, fast sections, and fast double stop sections, alone speak more loudly to this point than I can describe.
"The best sound (as a result of the" most beautiful ) is that, which expresses a certain content in the best way. - Nikolaus Harnoncourt" I think Joshua Brown has given it, and Juries knew it to be rewarded. 😊
But there are many great women violinists! Like Hilary Hahn, Anne Sophie Mutter, Janine Jansen, Arabella Steinbacher, Sumina Studer, Sayaka shoji and many more!
Ida Haendel had tiny hands and she could play anything. Every body is different. It doesn’t help to make excuses. You just have to adapt your body to the instrument.
I am so pleased the full performance is now on RUclips. I admire the expression and care he gives to every passage and even every note. Bravo!

Cause maybe he's about to cry 😮
Is his back hurting while playing? Certainly looks like he is in pain 😂
Wth he's just enjoying music💀💀💀
Way you don't open your ears 😂

it's political.
Everything in his playing is perfect. The technique, the tone, the musicality, he is the best

@@Will67267 This guy won in 2023 China Violin Competiton.
Chinese are involved in the conspiracy too 🤣
I cannot agree with you more
Men definitely have an advantage having larger hands. He barely has to reach for those tenths. Women struggle to reach those

@@architkumarsingh4547 sure there are women that are 6'tall but I'm speaking generally men have larger hands.
@@juliejules7780 And small men 😭😭😭 I do really need to stretch a lot even with a decent LH postion
@@lc-b352 do you think the smallest male hand can be as small as a female small hand?
