@@thedinnerlady9180 I made these yrs ago with ocra and it was there best tasting food in yrs , I forgot about oxtails , I will be getting them for over the Christmas. Thanks guys xx
Iv only ever cooked oxtail once in the pressure cooker years ago when it was cheap , I do remember it was delicious , thank you for sharing this Ian it looked delicious and your grinch outfit made me smile 😊Amanda xx
Another amazing meal Ian - and the wine adds that extra special flavour - not in anyway a waste - good wine in cooking really enhances a meal. Superb meal 👍
I've never had oxtail before, never mind in a stew but this looks very yummy & perfect for a cold winter's night. Ian, mate... I'm absolutely lovin' that Grinch Onesis. Did you purchase that from Primark? I have the Power Rangers Onesis in bright yellow. They are so comfy. 🤪
@BeddyEatsFood Aha... it's an awesome combination. I'm walking about looking like Pikachu right now but I really want a Grinch Onesis now. LOL. 😆 I hope you and Mands have a great weekend. 😊
This is in my top 10 meals ever. Been eating it since a child and love it. Pretty similar recipe too. They were £1 per whole tail about 1995, now cost more than some steaks. Crazy, but possibly the tasty part of the cow. You can put a pastry crust on top to bake if you wish. I love it with chips. The vinegar on the chips with the oxtail gravy is perfection. Never remove the fat. That jumpers worse than the Eric one! 😅😅
Could i slow cook it in a pan on the hob then put it in the oven. Im asking this has i dont have a slow cooker. Normally do my stews on the cooker hob.
Something that we had growing up all the time and regarded as a 'cheap' meal, to use a whole bottle of wine makes the dish extravagantly expensive ...in my opinion. I use a good beef stock and it tastes how I remember my nan and mam made it.
Do you remember when Ox tail was a cheap cut of meat before these TV chefs got hold of it now it costs a fortune for what it is . But you did that Ox tail proud Mr Grinch looked great
food looked great, crimbo clothes looks amazing only thing is, when Mand cooks you get to do triple t time and when you cook you still get to do taste test hmm our Mand seems to be left out there girl power and all that lol b t Mand our oreo roll worked perfect using real small ones thanks once again my lovelies
I wonder how much you paid for the Oxtail?....it used to be so cheap but like a lot of things...once the poncy tv chefs get hold of it and put it on their menus it ramps the price up...lamb shanks are a prime example...they used to be dirt cheap...not any more..!! x
A good hearty meal looks yummy
Thanks Anne 😊

Thanks Pam 😊 the wine was a gift so didn't cost us anything, and we don't drink it, the gravy was delicious 😋

Lol thanks Paul, I think it was about £10 so not the cheapest 😊
Yep, and you are spot on, before tv chefs got it and the sheep who copy them forced the prices up. Not that I'm bitter like..........😁😁

It was £10 Hazel, not cheap anymore x
Your pjs 😂😂😂
😂😂🤣
@@BeddyEatsFood and the drama of crumbling the oxo cube…so funny! (No offence, of course, I’m just teasing) x
@rubytuesdayfromlondontown9194 lol 😂 😉
Little tip , squash the stock cube between your fingers still in its wrapper then just rip the corner and it saves you getting it all over ya fingers
Cooking in Pj's No looks tasty.
Lol that's how I roll 😂
Waste of a bottle of wine.
The sauce was amazing, so I wouldn't say it was a waste 😊
Not at all it was amazing x
Don’t panic guys there are heathens and muppets everywhere who don’t understand that wine in cooking needs to be a quality bottle
