I really like these documentaries! They should do more of this for all their albums. They are such good storytellers, and they are all interesting to listen to. Also, I'd love to hear them talk more about their nerdy pleasures, like videogames, books, movies etc :)
This album was my introduction to Blind Guardian. I was reading the Lord Of The Rings before i bought Somewhere Far Beyond. It was a perfect timing for me. It took me like 4 yrs to read the hobbit and Lord Of The Rings trilogy. I finished right before Fellowship came out in the movie theaters. Every song on Somewhere Far beyond is absolutely amazing. I like to listen to it when going camping.
The first thing I thought when I first heard Theater of Pain was 'why the fuck wasn't this a single? it would have been huge on headbangers ball!' Great as Bard Song is, I think the Americans might have hated it, it's an acquired taste.
The record company missed a major opportunity with Theatre of Pain, but I agree with your summary of The Bard's Song. I honestly don't like the original ~ the 2003 re-recording is utter perfection.
@@raulgonzalezart6006 thanks bro, my first was Forgotten Tales, flawless cover art, all the song are amazing and to me, at that point, it was all original versions of those songs...Then, later, first Heavy song I've heard was Valhalla, (loved to death).......e then came to me Somewhere Far Beyond, oh my god.........never stopped listen to them since.
They seem like really cool guys!! I don't know a lot about them but they obviously work great together and know how they want Blind Guardian to sound. Very cool documentary \,,/,
What i got from these videos: Blind Guardian suffered the typical producer/label blocking them and restricting them. Typical non caring for the artists, when they actually should be the kings of it all! not the other assholes in the music industry. I am sure if they were surrounded by cooler people, open, and passionate for music and not greed and norms, Blind Guardian wuld have been huger and musicality way crazier!
Yes, they will speak about it :) They're not going to record it, but speak about it they have and will keep doing=) I have no stress thou, i know it'll be best to just chill and let time and travelers take care of that ;)
These interviewers are awful, clearly no clue about what they're doing. Blind Guardian are telling the most interesting stories about the production of the album and Kalle Trapp, and they just sidetrack completely and ask about why The Bard's Song wasn't released as a single. What? How about having a natural interview and not reading questions from a paper? You can tell they never learned anything about this. Hansi and the guys are still doing a great job developing a flowing conversation, fortunately, with little input from the interviewers.
Oh man , im having a beer while watching this , and this is gold. Reminds me when I was a teenager. I love Blind Guardian, they are so genuine.

Yeah i'm a really slow reader. I try to get every detail down which is almost impossible for me with Lord Of The Rings.
And Hansi was reading The Wastelands by Stephen King.
And then Gandalf stood on the bridge facing Andre and his voice covered all other noise :
"YOU SHALL NO... PASSPORT."
love these guys
Best thing to wake up to on a Saturday morning.
That passport story is amazing
Sam Williams hell yeah
So awesome
You could do documentaries for all Blind Guardian albums! At least until A Night at the Opera!

Please tell me they’ll jam with Thomen at the end of this series.
It would be fucking cool! But I thin it's just these four videos
Will they eventually speak of the mystical Orchestral album ?
Yes, they will speak about it :) They're not going to record it, but speak about it they have and will keep doing=) I have no stress thou, i know it'll be best to just chill and let time and travelers take care of that ;)
Joakim Vesterlund ahh, I see what you did there, lol
@@keelinmetaljam923 it's coming!
Nice to see that the have Tommen ack for talking and it looks like their dont hate each oter
I don't think they ever did. Pretty sure they cited creative differences when he left.
Yes, he left because he did not like the new direction of the band. Also he had health issues back then for which he could not play.
They never did. They were always friends and still are.
Banda foda evoluiram muito
LOL, Thomen, saying "If he wants to sing, his lead guitars need to shut the fuck up" :D
Von welcher Schülerzeitung sind die beiden Quotenjournalisten?
Tomara que eles gravam um álbum orquestrado com o The omen na bateria

What Thomas Stauch is doing there?
It seems natural that the drummer who was actually in the band at the time would be there to talk about it.
Do you think he really need it? After 10 or so years?
Well, he played drums on the albums they discuss in these documentaries, so of course he needs to be there ;)
Hell yeah, the documentary would be incomplete without him. They had the other 2 guys from Lucifers Heritage so having Thomen only makes sense.
Talking about the first four albums He was the drummer back the , do you know that?
