- In this video I am showing you what living on Isla Mujeres is like. There are lots of things to do, but the best of all is to visit Playa Norte, the most beautiful beach I have ever seen in Mexico.
I decided to stay at Selina hostel, which I can highly recommend to you. This hostel feels like a resort. It has a big restaurant, pool, hammocks, a coworking space and workout classes every morning. If you are working online this hostel is perfect for you, because you will meet a lot of digital nomads. Most people come here for a day or two, but you can easily spend a lot more time here.

How would it be for a 40 year old male solo traveler to stay at this hostel? I’ve stayed in one when I was 30 and had a blast but don’t want to feel out of place now haha. Are than a range of age in travelers there?
Hey Steve, I think most travellers at the hostel are in their late 20s and early 30s, but I've seen people in their 40s as well. I think if you're okay with the fact that most people are younger it shouldn't be a problem. One of the friends I've made when I was there is 56 years old. People are really open minded and friendly in this hostel :)

Thank you! I don't think this beach has a name, but you will find it if you walk down next to the Hotel La Joya (there are steps to the right side of the hotel) and then walk to the right 😉

I don't think this beach has a name, but you will find it if you walk down next to the Hotel La Joya (there are steps to the right side of the hotel) and then walk towards the right 😉
